I won't be going for this 1. Seriously I don't give a shit about the other performing korean, chinese groups =x. I only care about ViVid. Tickets are $138 despite having to stand.

HAP 2011 Mini Concert (27/11/11)|
I'm going this 1! This is a Secilia Luna special live concert organized by Tokyo69 & Haru. It's really rare for an visual kei indies band to come Singapore to perform, therefore I don't want to miss the chance!
So many exciting things to look forward in this month :). Anyway I'm free until year ends. Taking a break from my last job which I left already. My next job begins in Jan 2012.

1yr 3mths in TTNI was enough to show me that I was not suited as a software engineer. I have been working as a Software Engineer for 2 years and I've decided to move on to other things.

Reasons why being a Software Engineer/Developer sux:
No work life balance - being expected to OT alot to deliver, meet tight deadlines, handle multiple projects at a time.

Arise to health problems - backaches and pain, migraines, headaches due to sitting down too much in front of the computer, gaining weight exponentially (I put on 10kg + ever since I started working as a developer)

Tired and stressful work life - Long hours of programming makes me super tired everyday even though sometimes I don't OT so much. Being "chased" by superiors and customers to rush out my work.

Too technical - I sux at explaining technical details. I can't say I have good communication skill at work. It is difficult to explain even though I can understand roughly why it happens. I am bad at smoking (making up other excuse to get out of the situation).

Low level job - If i liked my job I guess this wouldn't matter. Having to work 5-6 years as a developer to reach a lead position really turns me off. This is how it is like in private sector. You compete with a large group of developers work for 5-6 years in that position and hope to raise to a lead position. I'm not going to spend 5-6 years doing programming like that. I don't see any future in that. Even at managerial level, you're still handling everything from programming to system maintenance to managing people and project.
Conclusion: It's a tough job and not suitable for women. Changing to other areas in IT was a solution I thought about but if that was the case the only other area I could do was customer support. I already had a feel of that having to do customer support role as well as a developer so I know what it was like.

Being scolded and shot by customer and again explaining things was not exactly my cup of tea.

Phuket (3D 2N)

Work has been stressful and tiring every day. I haven't had the time to blog in awhile. Every day was just work and going out to enjoy typical SG life as a Singaporean (eat, sleep, jdrama, shopping, movies). And then me and Hammie had booked a trip to Japan in March end but due to the earthquake and nuclear problems we cancelled the trip. So in the end we booked a trip 3D2N at Phuket through tour agency. The tour included airport transfer 2-way, day tour and tour to Coral island.

Day 1: City Tour, Thurs (31 Mar 2011)
- Arrival at Phuket airport around 9:45am (Light morning rain)
- Meeting with tour guide (Rain seemed to stop already)
Tour guide was seriously very excited haha. Introduced many places and attractions to us. Only 2 of us on the tour van. So it felt very private. We can just go anywhere we like on the van. Convenient don't need to wait for others.
- Followed tour guide's own itinery. (Weather became good! It had been raining the whole week though)
1. T-shirt shop: Followed tour guide's recommendation on T-shirt shop. Bought a few clothes. Nothing much. The tour guide said that it's the cheapest T-shirt shop in Phuket.
2. Jewellery Showcase: Tour around the showcase with a big room with lots of jewellery. Didn't buy anything except for a very nice smelling Mineral shower gel and some cute turtle candles.
3. Tidbits shop: Shopping for tidbits. Lots of thai delicacy and tidbits to try. Bought pork floss, durian chips, tau sar pia. All very nice. Nicer than SG :).
4. Big Buddha: Went uphill to see the Big Buddha which is a project still in construction. Nice scenery and viewpoint.
5. Elephant Trekking at athill-adventures: At first we thought it would be very fun to go elephant trekking. But to our dismay it's really damn scary T_T especially when going downslope! We thought we were going to slip down the seat.. 45 minutes on a really scary ride. Will never try it again. No joke.. We got a suicidal 4 years old elephant called Billy who keep wanting to commit suicide standing so near the cliff..................... He kept walking so near the edge. He also didn't seem to be listening to the rider too. Awfully distracted elephant. He didn't even want to pose properly at the cameras unlike other elephants. Poo.
6. Wat Chalong Temple: Just a short while at the temple since tour guide said it's a shortcut back to hotel. Nothing much just cultural exposure.

3 - 4 Pm
After that we checked in at Banthai Resort at Patong Beach. We were served welcome drinks. I think it was Logan drink, it's really good but too bad we couldn't drink it again. Tour guide helped us to check in. Overall the Resort has a refreshing look and looks newer then other resorts. The resort has 3 swimming pools but unfortunately we didn't get a chance to go swimming during our stay.

4 PM ~
Actually we had planned to go to Phuket zoo today but the zoo closes at 6 PM. Too rush. We had some pineapple rice at the hotel. It was the best pineapple rice I've ever eaten so far.

The weather was still not v.good. Dark skies. Drizzling/Patchy rain. Instead we rested awhile at hotel then went Dino Mini golf park at Karon beach area.

5 PM ~
Since it was still raining a little, we couldn't play Dino mini golf. So we walked around the area near Karon beach. Karon beach unlike Patong has less ppl I think. Bought a swim suit for the next day. A bit of window shopping. When the rain ceased we went to play Dino mini golf. I thought this place was overly rated. Or maybe because of the wet ground after the rain it was hard to play and less fun. Well nothing much we finished the golf course in around an hour or so then continued walking around Karon beach area. Caught a glimpse of sunset. After that we took a taxi to JungCeylon one of the most popular shopping center in Phuket. Window shopping again. Nothing much. Mainly clothes and handphones.

9 PM ~
Went back hotel to have dinner this time room service because the wait time was long -.-. We had Pineapple rice, Fried Rice, Sweet and sour fish. The fried rice was really good one of the best I've eaten.

11 PM ~
We watched a movie 'Knight & Day'. I fell asleep 3/4 of the show.

Day 2: Coral Island (1 Apr 2011, Friday)
- Breakfast (6.30 AM~ 8.30 AM)
Nice breakfast. Scrambled eggs were the best I've ever eaten.
- Van pickup (8.10 AM)
Pickup at various places. Then we reached the jetty.
- Meeting with tour guide
- Wear Life jackets
- Speed Boat to Coral Island! Weather seemed to be much better than the day before. Sunny.
- Briefing by tour guide on activities
- Snorkelling
Saw some fishes in schools. Didn't sight any coral reefs. Felt dangerous and challenging to go beyond 3 metres. The waves were strong and kept pushing us back.
Anyway after playing very long in the water we went to change.
- Started raining (showery)....
- Lunch: Fried rice, sandwiches, Sweet & Sour Fish, Vegetable soup, omelette. Their fried rice is awesome.
- Rain became less. Went to walk around the beach where there were parasailing activities.
- Rain stopped
- Walked along the beach looking for seashells but most were broken and we didn't find any complete ones.
- Went back to tour group area.
- Lie down under the sun with some shelter.
- Close my eyes and nap. Felt so good just lying there and resting. Watch Japanese kids building sandcastles. Watch other ppl playing.
- 1 PM: Coffee break
- 2.30 PM: Speedboat back to Phuket.
- Arrived back at hotel around 3 plus.
- Rested awhile then walked around Patong beach area. Window shopping.
Hmm.. They actually sell weapons along Patong beach. Batons and knifes. Fake guns that look real.. Explored other hotels/inns like Patong Beach Resort, Holiday Inn. Still prefer Banthai..
- Couldn't find any food to eat. Back to hotel.
- Dinner at hotel room service: Salmon, Pineapple rice (again, yes), BBQ ribs.
- 8 PM~: Massage at SPA.
- Back to hotel

Day 3: Back to SG
- 6.30 AM: Buffet breakfast for 1/2 hr. The Beehoon and Miso soup are the best I've ever had. Cannot be compared to SG.
- Transfer to Phuket Airport.
- Window shopping at Airport. Nothing much. Long queue when checking in flight.
- 15 massage at Airport.
- Back to SG.

Review

Overall our trip to Phuket was a very memorable one for us. It was a Short getaway. Nice change of environment. Relaxing. The food is great. We stayed away from Hot/Spicy food. We want to go again maybe at the end of the year. Probably try out Phi Phi island or Nga Bay area/James bond island. I'm not that interested in the culture but the places has a nice seaview and the people are quite hospitable. The impression I get from Phuket is that as long as you have the money/time you can do whatever you want. It's a place with more freedom than Singapore and also many nationalities down there.

What's the best E-dictionary?

Recently my SHARP E-dictionary spoilt. If i'm not wrong I bought it a few years ago for about $140 (2nd hand). Though the previous user commented that she only used the dictionary once or twice I think it was most probably a lie as it spoilt in less than a year. With no warranty, to repair the dictionary would cost up to $50 sgd or more plus they will need to send the dictionary over to Japan as it's a japanese modelbbought from Japan.

After talking to my friend and doing some research, I came up with some alternatives to invest in a new e-dictionary. With technology advances, currently NDS and iphone has downloadable/buyable e-dict applications that cost alot cheaper and has similar functions to a normal japanese e-dict.

Of course the pros & cons of which to invest in must be thoroughly researched but I think if it's me I would probably choose an NDS so that I can play games.

NDS

Pros:
Various japanese learning tools like e-dicts, kanji dict, quiz games, japanese educational apps/games available.

Currently the dictionary that catches my eye is this :
Kanji Sonomama Rakubiki Jiten
This is a good dictionary and has a good interface to input Kanji words. However apart from not being able to S Jump, it also doesn't have much example sentences that are important in an e-dict. But i'm unsure if they're other dicts that have these features. This seems to be the best NDS jap to eng/eng to jap dictionary available in the market.

Pen input interface for Kanji dict

This itself is a very useful/critical feature. From what I researched, it seems only the Canon Wordtank e-dictionary and some Casio EX-word e-dictionary (which costs around $300-400) can do this. Since the a DS costs roughly $180-$220. I think it is definately more value for money.
Cons:
Jumping

However, the main problem with Kanji Sonomama Rakubiki Jiten is that it can't do superior jumps. It can only jump between english words but what's the point? People need e-dicts that can jump between japanese words! This is 1 of the most critical feature in an e-dict.
iPhone
I know how crazy alot of ppl are over iphone. It wouldn't hurt to get an iPhone if it has really good japanese dict applications. Considering the price dropped alot already and it has alot of applications. You can facebook, play games and browse the internet on a big screen. It also has a good interface for Kanji input. Furthermore its easier to bring 1 inside class to search for meanings without others thinking that you're playing games like in the case of an NDS =x.

There are tons of really good E-J/J-E iPhone japanese dictionaries with example sentences and explanations

Infact, the one I really really like is Wisdom E-J / J-E. It has example sentences in jap (translated to eng) and very in depth explanation.
Pen input interface for Kanji
Cons:
The best dictionary for iPhone is not free -.-. Wisdom E-J/J-E is available at the iTunes store for $23.99 usd. But after reading the reviews of purchasers, even though most of the ppl were overall pretty satisfied with the product, some were complaining that it has a good Japanese to Eng dict but is in actual fact not an Eng to Japanese dictionary o_o and there's no romanji included which makes it useless for ppl who don't understand kanji. The romanji part doesn't really matter to me, but eng to jap dictionary is really important -.-. It would seem that Wisdom is more suitable for ppl who understand japanese at a higher level. Some even complained that the app will cause huge problems to the iPhone and failure.

Some other dicts that also catch my eye is Kotoba! and ShinKanji-Lite.

Kotoba! is free and looks like a simple dictionary used for quick look ups. It might be useful however the explanations are not indepth.

ShinKanji is free too and also looks not bad for inputting Kanji words and looking them up to check their readings. However it seems the updated version has removed a search function which makes this app useless.
Now definately, I won't be getting another actual e-dict. I would have to decide on either NDS or iPhone. Both has their pros and cons which are very dependent on the jap apps that they use. Perhaps in the future there could be better apps that have the features missing.
* Value for money - usability
Comparing the cost, value for money and features available.

An iPhone can be buyable now for $98 with a mth subscription fee of $56 in a 2 years contract (for m1). That will definately increase my monthly phone bills T_T and its pretty costly to maintain in the long run. Plus I will need to wait 1 more year until my own hp contract expires. I don't really have the need for most iPhone applications anyway.
As for the NDS, only the dictionary and games appeal to me. Since I've been using No$Zoomer/GBA for a long time already and already own a PSP. I don't actually need a portable DS. No$Zoomer also provides so many more better features compared to a DS like full screen and increasing the speed, a normal DS truthfully doesn't appeal much to me other than its portability.
Hence the question now is wait or invest in an NDS which could prove a good investment in the long run?

Lol it feels like a decade since I wrote on this blog! I finally found some time to do so mann.. So many things just happened and there just wasn't time T_T.

I had just been working and doing other things OTing almost everyday and suffering a wholesome lot. Now i can understand y some ppl just work and work and they grow old and they find that are stuck not knowing what to do etc. I guess its normal. Just some random stuff >_<.

I've started work at my new attached location. colleagues are friendly but environment is quite scary because of the strict security rules. i am so scared i
clumsily go and do something wrong >_<. haiz.. also the ppl who previously interviewed me are also my bosses. i've been warned not to go and re them. today i fell down accidentally at a slope and was so suay to get caught leaving the lock open for a door by one of my bosses. =/. ugh the air con is soo cold sometimes i could feel so cold and restless T_T.

after moving there my life feels like it has taken a 180 degrees turn too. i had tried to avoid very hard at all costs, but everything seems to have been planned out so nicely for me. i don't know how i started to fall in love again after a long time..

oh yes x'mas is coming i wonder how am i going to spend my x'mas o_o.

About 1 mth to JLPT2 and i haven't really started studying at all =(.. Somehow unable to force myself during the weekends because there's just so many jdramas and movies to watch. Not so much of games to play because now jdramas are wad drives meee. lol.

JDrama Recommendations:

RESET

The unsubbed versions are watchable on youtube. Its a really interesting show that possesses alot of underlying morals. What would happen if you were able to RESET your life twice? A series of unpredictable/inevitable turn of events could have happened.

SMILE

Frankly I wouldn't recommend this show unless u like Matsumoto Jun. Its meant to be a depressing and sad love story where nothing goes right. I stopped watching already somewhere at episode 6 because the story was too predictable.

LOVE GAME

if you liked love game u'll definately LIKE reset. I watched both love game and reset unsubbed so its pretty much understandable. Basically a player is given 100 million yen to play the LOVE GAME. They would be given a very challenging task maybe sth like get married within the time limit or divorce your wife within the time limit and they shall be given that 100 million yen. Also a very interesting show.

Apart from these I've been regularly watching other dramas too.

Work has been quite good so far but I can feel that the work load is coming.. My departure is being delayed for idk how long more but probably I'll try to enjoy myself while I can. Also I got to know alot of interesting ppl during my work phase and it's almost impossible to keep a low profile. But slowly I'm learning new things and getting accustomed to the environment.

After fyp and my tokyo holiday. I started to seriously apply for jobs. At this time i would say is hard to find a job for me. Though I applied to few companies and recruit firms it was a useless effort with no replies. Recruit firms are also pretty fruitless cuz they will just mass send ur resume. The only 1 i got interviews for was my fren's company.

I went through 3 interviews in all with them. The interview with the client was bad but someway or other they still employed me. but i can imagine how tough it may be once I get attached out. And so... I survived my first week of work. It was okay cuz I'm at a temporary placement waiting to get attached to my designated place. Hopefully, the sooner may be better - maybe not also. So i'm taking over this guy's job. and seriously until today I have no idea wad I'm supposed to do. The whole of last week I was just meddling around with the applications to configure the tingy and simulating some old solution.

I would say the place is okay but suspiciously open and overly friendly environment. I just think for the start I should be really careful and observe the environment more. I got back my results too last week. Our group got a well deserved D. We were happy with the results and it seemed we did better than secure house too unbelievably. Perhaps I really underestimated our application ler.

3D4N Tokyo (03/08/09 - 07/08/09)

Finally blogspot allows me to publish entries properly -.-...

After FYP I wanted to go Tokyo for a holiday after many yrs of not travelling outside Sg. So I suggested this to my mum... Then my mum and I went Tokyo together from 3rd of August to the 7th. My dad and bro unable to tag along because my dad needs to work and he actually already travels alot on his own for work purposes and my bro due to his own medical reasons.

Anyway this was the itinery for this free and easy trip. We bought a package tour (accommodation + air plane ticket with JAL)

3rd August 09 (Day 1 Night)

(Arrival at Narita airport around 4pm - watched GOEMON on the plane - Highlyn recommended movie for ppl who like action movies like me)
- 4.30pm :
Took the limousine bus to Shinjuku station west exit and then take taxi to hotel
- 6.30pm :
Arrived at Shinjuku Higashi Sunroute Hotel around which is a small hotel located directly at Higashi shinjuku metro line
- Checked into hotel and took care of some paper work

Amenities include:
-LCD tv
- Thermoflask/boiler
- Hairdryer, fridge basically all neccessities they have
- Only prob is the plug they use is 2 pin, no 3 pin so i couldn't charge my PSP

After that we had dinner at a nice self-service restaurant opposite the hotel (btw most of the restaurants/supermarket are all self service 1)

The food is real cheap (u can eat until u're full for like 1000 yen for , 2 pax), drinks
are free flow (just water and koucha) and the food is like home cooked chinese food.

Not to mention I loved the TV programs in Japan. They have a variety of channels and I love the Jdramas and variety shows with Arashi, SPEED, Aya Ueto and so many more celebrities as well as the music channels just rox! They were playing pvs from bands like Bounty, EXILE, Mayand misc jpop songs.. Btw I watched a bit of Buzzer Beat (the jdrama) when I was there. I wish I could watch them HD when in S'pore... Keyhole quality is just not good. I dun even mind paying if they could offer me HD quality IPTV.

Continuing on after dinner we took a walk around the hotel area. Went to supermarket to buy some drinks and food. Well since the hotel area is quite near Shinjuku Kabuki Cho (the red light district area) there were a few shady characters lurking around at night. I was even shocked to see a Host club near the hotel area o_o... As interested as I may be - (yea, I am quite interested in Host clubs cuz i watched dramas like Giragira and Yaoh which feature alot on Host clubs and found them to be somewhat interesting...) Of course I didn't go because its expensive anyway and that was not the purpose of the trip. Lol but I think it could be good to experience once in a lifetime. Well.. maybe..

After that we had an early night and the next day was a rushed one...

4th August 09 (Day 2 Full Day - Mt Fuji guided tour)

The estimated time to reach Keio Plaza hotel to take the tour bus was around 20 minutes from our hotel. This I confirmed with the hotel staff.

- 6.30am :
Breakfast
- 7.15 am :
Left the hotel to travel to Keio Plaza Hotel situated near Shinjuku station. Shinjuku station was 1 stop away from Higashi Shinjuku but it took us some time to ask for directions to figure out the exact place to exit to find the hotel. Fortunately, there was this v.kind old woman whom I asked for directions and was helpful. (Well most of the ppl there are... ) When we eventually reached the hotel we left on the tour bus that took us to the point where they would split the ppl into diff tour groups.
- Travelled on the bus like 3 hrs to Mt.Fuji visitor's center.
- Most of the trip was travelling on the Motor coach hearing the tour guide talk about some realities of Japan like historical stuff, work and marriage life etc. Some of the stuff which I already knew... The tour guide's english was bad and hardly understandable btw -.-.

Basically inside the visitor's center we were given 15 mins toilet break -.-. So.. there was barely any time to browse around. But inside are basically souvenir shops.

Again we were given 15 mins break.. Idk wth is wrong with this tour and 15 mins breaks. But there were so many shops and we only had time to enter around 2 of them quickly buy some stuff and then head off. Btw it was the climbing season so that's why its so foggy and there's lots of ppl.

So yea. we travelled like 3 hrs to come to this place, given 15 mins break then travel all the way down to go for lunch -.-.

We had high class lunch at the high class hotel near the theme park. I forgot its name. But its the hot spring theme park with alot of roller coasters. The guide told us not to go ride the roller coaster cuz it takes around 45 mins to wait for it. Lunch wasn't really to my liking I still prefered the dinner on the first day of arrival (and the lunch is around $30sgd or so)

After that we travelled by motor coach to Lake Ashi and set a cruise. Nth much really just enjoy the scenery and wind.

After that we reached Hakone and took the ropeway. That was the only time we saw Mt Fuji from far ~ when we were coming back down the ropeway.

This should be 90 degree clockwise. Im too lazy to rotate the image and im rushing this entry :x. But that's Mt.Fuji somewhere hidden in the clouds. At least we saw this or the trip would be entirely a waste.

After that it was the end of the trip. The tour group split into 2 - most took the Shinkansen back to Tokyo station (that's so out of the way for us) so we had chosen to take the motorcoach back to Shinjuku instead. The estimated arrival time was 8.30pm but was delayed until around 10pm due to traffic jam because of an accident. The tour guide left us in the care of the motor coach driver who couldn't speak English. I had to converse with the driver in Japanese to relay the information to the rest of the passengers. When we finally reached Shinjuku a caucasian couple asked for directions to their hotel which was Shinjuku Washington Hotel. The hotel is actually pretty far from the station compared to Keio Plaza because before that I considered going to Shinjuku Washington Hotel to catch the tour bus.

The department stores there close like 8pm so we found some fast food restaurant which sells Tonkatsu dons near Shinjuku west station and had dinner there. The ice coffee tasted horrid. Haha but it was free flow. After that took the train back to our hotel.

5th August 09 (Day 3 Full Day - Garden tours Tokyo Free Guide)

I had engaged the services of this volunteer organizatio Tokyo Free Guides 2 weeks in advance. The guide was Hiroko-san a young housewife who is a tour guide basically lol. She has a family of four and when I asked her she said she wanted to practice her tour guide skills and English. Of course I understood her efforts in trying to converse with us though not completely unstandable but it was a well praised effort to converse with us. Firstly, I told her my digital camera had no more memory and she took us to Big Camera which sold alot of those electronics stuff and I bought a 4Gb memory card for like 2000 yen or so. After which the first stop was Shinjuku Gyoen a really nice place with 3 types of gardens - Japanese garden, French and i forgot what was the last.

After that we header for Meiji Shrine near Shibuya area. There's really nth much there.. Just a long walk inside hearing alot of history stuff about that place but not understanding much of it. Lol.

After that we walked around Harajuka area and went Daiso 100 yen shop. Apparently the stuff there is not like Sg daiso where everyting is $2. Even though daiso is a 100 yen shop alot of their stuff are not 100 yen. The price varies but the daiso there is like about 5 stories.

I forgot what's this place called but according to Hiroko-san this place is the most popular street in Harajuka where alot of youngsters gather. Btw at that time it was summer and the ppl in Shibuya and Harajuka were just so colorful and there were many women who wore yukatas walking around the streets. Its a really pretty sight. What can I say? I just love their fashion ^_^.

When I came out of the street I spotted the Arashi poster tingy on this building.

Lunch was at Sakura-tei, an Okonomiyaki restaurant at the outskirts of harajuka.

Inside is alot nicer because the design is just so cool and cosier but my camera sux taking picture close up so alot of the shots are like badly taken. We had okonomiyaki lunch buffet tingy and ate until so full. But it was super healthy with all the vegetables and stuff and delicious too!

After that we went the the Imperial Gardens near Tokyo station. But I won't put up pictures here because its basically the historical stuff again. An ok place to visit for visitors. I was more interested in the Japanese gardens. But anyway... after that before leaving for the hot springs we gave Hiroko-san a farewell/thank you gift and she directed us to the shuttle bus stop where we took the bus to Oedo Onsen Mongatari.

I took some pictures there with my mum wearing rented yukatas but the images came out kind of blurry cuz the camera cant really take good pictures close up.. Basically there was summer price which was cheaper than the usual and alot of visitors when I went (quite few caucasians). You can use the different type of hot springs there for your relaxation - eg: they have quite a number of indoor baths, suana and bathing facilities for use as well as foot message + barrel baths. But we only tried foot message and indoor baths. The ppl there are open to nudity so the caucasian women only go there for message not baths.

6th August 09 (Day 4 Full Day - Garden tours Tokyo Free Guide)

The last full day I actually had planned to go to Ueno Park and Zoo. My mum being v.tired from the walking last few days and rushing here and there didn't want to so oh well.. Last day we decided to just take our own sweet time. Morning we went for the hotel's breakfast buffet then we went shopping at the dept stores near Shinjuku like Isetan, Takashimaya Times square and the Marui stores. I went to the Algonquins branch at Shinjuku. I loved their clothes seriously... Algonquins is my fav. j.label but the clothes there are all around 4k yen ++. So I didn't buy anyting =(. Instead I went Marui one and bought a shirt and bag from Sexy Dynamite London cuz they were having some sale.

7th August 09 (Day 5 Plane Back)

Left the hotel early and went to Narita airport. Did a bit of last minute shopping at airport.

Overall I can say this trip was great exposure for me. And a piece of advice for those who want to travel to japan. If you go free and easy do ensure u have a fren over there who knows japanese as a guide OR know how to speak japanese because the ppl there mostly dun speak english especially the older generation. Even if they can speak it may not be on an understandable level.

20th July 09 - Monday
Went to renew passport with my mum. Passport has not been used for more than 10 years and still contains my photo when i was in primary sch. Omg... After that we went to eat lunch at parkway and shopping. Bought 2 gummy rabbit "lollipop-styled" candies to give my students.

21th July 09 - Tuesday
Tuition with Koyo who was sick that day. He didn't look that sick and I thought he was just feigning illness to escape from tuition hence I perservered on and continued to be strict with him.

After tuition met up with SIM friends at Makan sutra outside Esplanade for dinner. The food there is around $4-$5+ range. Really pricey. After that we went macs to chat. My enemy was there that day and I didn't know he was coming. However, being very generous and forgiving i answered his questions only when asked.

22th July 09 - Wednesday
My dad woke me up early in the morning like 5.30 am or so to book plane+hotel ticket to Tokyo. After that went back to sleep. Woke up later again to get ready to go out. Met SIM friends to play badminton at red hill sports complex. They do it almost every week. Think I overstrained myself a little.

After lunch went to meet Jair kor at PS to go Daiso. Bought some snacks and a diary quite like an organiser. Bought home a durian cake from four seasons which was made of durian paste and not real durian :(.

23rd July 09 - Thursday
I can't remember what I was doing.. I think i started planning for Tokyo trip. Wanted to go jap class but didn't go. My student's parents smsed me telling me that he had h1n1. scared the hell out of me. A few minutes later they smsed again telling me that its not confirmed.

24th July 09 - Friday
Went to collect ready passports. Ate lunch with my family at bugis then went home. Started to get slight sore throat.

25th July 09 - Saturday
Sore throat developed to fever around 38.5 degrees when I woke up in the morning. I felt terrible, bad headache and whole body aching, flu, sore throat everything. Went to see doctor had to wear mask and so on.. Rested at home the whole day.

Cancelled morning tuition, not posible to go Heng hock's wedding dinner at this state so cancelled as well.

26th July 09 - Sunday
Cancelled outing to Alvin's house. I was so looking forward to it. Cat had fever too and would have to be quarantined until Tuesday. She couldn't go, so did I. I don't know if Cammy went. Was gonna drag myself to go for jap class but my dad said I was crazy and asked me to stay at home to rest.

The Final Showdown

for this scenerio I will not mention any names of the ppl involved in it. however it is just my personal comment and feelings about the situation.

firstly, after the final presentation, everyone had written 100% in the peer evaluation form. Some of us were truthfully not happy with this person - (lets say X) getting 100%. previously, the leader had told X before we filled the evaluation form that X did not deserve 100% and that X should get 80% only - straight forward right? but yes the leader is a v.straightforward person.. but X ignored the leader and filled in 100%. the rest of us speechless did not say anyting or object to it. for myself, i intended to follow the leader which i already had told him. nobody said anything so fine i thought the other 2 were OK with it so because they had put in the same amt of effort as me.. who was i to complain? i thought i would just give him that 100% and let it be over and done with. nobody said anything after that.

2 days passed, one of the grp members - Y told the leader to let the supervisor know about this issue. leader decided to email the team member except X to write comment regarding X to be forwarded to supervisor. i have the intention of marking X down so I wrote the comment that out of the whole project X only contributed the following:

1.Help Option (content written by another member),
2.Project Website (other than main page and contact us, rest content edited/done by other member).

leader forwarded own, Y and my comments to supervisor. supervisor called X to ask about this and arranged a meeting + brought the accessor to attention about this matter. the last team member clearly did not mind if X got 100% but would not stop us from telling the supervisor.

yesterday, an online discussion was held by the 4 of us. X had sent a "threatening" sms to the rest of the team. i duno how threatening it was but its sth like 'Why you all not happy with the evaluation? you all think you all should get more? I dun wan to go down and be arguing with u all'. Y wanted to back out. leader explained that it was too late to back out. of course i feel the same too because i already wrote that comment and was prepared for sth like this to happen.

we had a poll to decide average % to give X. i had given the lowest 65. the rest gave70 and above which i felt is not going to mark X down. and if they wanted to give 70-80, i my as well give the 100% and not bring this issue up to the supervisor. i wanted to fail X but the rest wanted to pass X. i explained that passing X could mean damaging X instead because X doesn't learn anything from fyp. its the same as getting a cert but not learning anything. but anyway i already made my stand and did not object further to the average.

today the team met in sch to sign the papers. it was a difficult decision to make and X was clearly pissed off with all of us. supervisor had asked about X's contribution to the team and wad X deserves. X said that X deserves at least 95% cuz X put in the 'best' effort and kept revamping the website when we asked X to change it cuz it was not up to standard (the revamping = keep changing the template that is provided in free web space). X said that we did not guide or tell him properly wad was expected and required. Instead we just redid the things X did not do properly and did not help. Leader explained that the team derived at 72%. X wanted at least 95% then leader compromised abit and said to give X 80%. X was still not happy of course but when the rest of the team were required to poll the rest all gave 80% and above. I had given the lowest 75%. the supervisor had initially said to give X 80% and above if we did not want to fail him. I thought it was pointless anyway, I had let my whole team including the supervisor know that I want to fail him in other words. I could not be bothered to listen to the excuses given or talk any sense to X instead i had let X argue with leader and Y about their personal issues. supervisor then said it was communication problem and not anybody's fault. fine, but X should have taken the initiative to communicate with us in the first place like the rest of the team did. in addition to not answering our emails and not asking us any questions about anything then blaming on us is really convenient on X part.

After we signed the papers, X immediate just went off angrily. at that moment i thought to myself that X was hopeless because X still thinks X deservies more than 80% which was already v.generous because the rest of the team treat X as a friend and wanting to help X? which is not really my perspective on helping people -.-. After that Y went took the train with me. Then Y told me leader was to be blamed because leader should have scolded Y properly. I was dissappointed with Y.. I treated Y as my friend but i explained to Y that leader is not to be blamed. it is not the leader fault because i know leader had already tried to warn X on several occassions. sigh..

This is how ugly things finally became and a fruitless + pointless attempt to mark X down in my opinion. me being pulled into all this, in addition, getting potrayed as the bad person and being hated by X. I dun care if im being hated by X because I nvr treated X as part of the team or even as a friend and I could easily delete the contact. but this is like so lame lah.

5 mths of hard work has finally come to an end today. I had just experienced the most busiest moment of my life as a student and now I am finally able to take a short break... now i have decided to take a short break, spend more time with friends if possible, play a bit of games, catch up on my japanese studies and settle insurance/credit card/e-dictionary/laptop issues before continuing on the next phase of my life which is to search for a suitable job..

Even though my project is quite unrelated to my course on security (since its a Secure Dungeon application that focuses more on the design aspects) and quite useless I feel =x... but I learnt so many things through it. Even though life was hell, workload was lots and everyday was like 12 hrs programming all the way with hardly anytime to eat + watch dramas and burning weekends, my friends/team had been supportive of each other and we had alot of fun too while doing the project.. I learnt a great deal about team work and although the team had alot of conflicting ideas and would often argue over alot of stuff... somehow we were able to resolve all those issues and work together towards a common goal.

credits to other ppl including fabian who helped me alot too.. when my lappy spoilt he offered to lend me his help and lappy and all that but i declined >_<. Jack came to my rescue yesterday when my adaptor suddenly spoilt. He lent me his adaptor so that I could back up the documentation especially the very important User Manual that i spent the whole of the previous night editing -_-!! haha.. and also the Secure House ppl for providing useful information when i asked them on how they did their functions and stuff.

For today's presentation it was mainly the app demo to the panel of judges. I had to demo the 2nd half of the demo. I screwed up for the 'Add Devices' but anyway I skipped that part and was not asked further qns other than coverage and simulation stuff. After that we stayed back to watch the other groups and to finalise the documentation to submit. Edwin's group presented very professionally.. after that for the Secure House presentation, (as we will surely be compared with theirs as the accessor and supervisor is the same..)
Alot of questions were posed to Secure House - Mr.Jappit had questions regarding the door locks being place on door + window and the size (resolution of the added devices) and simulation..
I discussed with Angela and Raymond about their app and we came up with the following comments...

Secure House
In terms of the GUI they were using the default java gui. I didn't understand some of the features like their Add Device because it seemed quite complicated (many fields to add).
Have to draw each room and place assets (not sure about their auto analysis and deployment - lol still v.blur on their functions but nvm anyway)
2D simulation was dynamic and will report all the scenerios that happens (3 threats)
Secure Dungeon

More professional/nicer GUI interface (because I used looks&feel library =x), the GUI is designed by me btw..
Load floor plan with drawn room - analyse will place assets
2D simulation more lacking - especially the test plan because only the coverages would light up. I think Mr.Jappit wanted more reports on the scenerios that were happening during the animation. (6 threats to choose from)
However, it feels like we might have more functions than them..
hmm.. but mostly are probably variations and refinement. But in terms of programming strength, their group does have good programmers like Juncheng, gw and beng...

Our team I would say.. is lacking in the programming aspect because only 3 of us handled all the programming. Haha, to change topics. Im super happy today because fyp is over.. at the same time im super tired too because of the lack of sleep from rushing programming and reports.

Later in the evening i went pubbing with dajie, shiba-san and sugi-san. For now I just want to meet her as much as possible until she leaves in September to study in London.. Da jie is a really important friend + big sister to me so I am sad that she'll have to leave so soon T_T... haiz.. but it is wad she want so i have no choice but to support her.. >_<. The main objective for today was to relax and relieve stress.. b4 we met shiba and sugi san, we went to eat hot dessert at asabu in the central.
after that we all went to a pub at higher lv of the central - Helipad (i tink that's wad it was called). shiba-san paid for us even though we wanted to pay - i tink entrance fee was around $12.. + 1st drink. Actually this is the first time i went into a pub.. a few times I almost went into 1 but in the end nvr go lol. Im not really a fan of pubs and i dun really like drinking or dancing either but it was ok anyway since we came here to talk initially. but da jie said the choice of place was quite bad cuz at the disco area the music too loud and hard to talk. which is true anyway i shouted so much when talking to sugi san that my voice became hoarse T_T. i was quite shocked cuz sugi-san said that he dun like/drink alcohol, which i think its quite rare lol.. and despite his age he still act quite like a kid.. haha. anyway after talking to sugi-san quite alot last nite - we have a few tings in common i realised. but we had quite a hard time communicating with each other. he kept using his fone to show me kanji words which i didn't under cuz my jap level also not so high. but i found out he also watch or read (I can't understand which he was trying to say) quiz show 1 and 2 and he like jdrama too + plays xbox360 and learnt quite alot of interesting things about japan. anyway sugi san ordered coke and milk shake lol. da jie was "pissed off" with him for ordering $7 coke from the pub when he can buy outside for $1-2. LOL.
haha anyway despite the loud music and noone wanting to dance on the disco stage - after 1 am then got ppl dancing.. i had fun too and it was good exposure i think.

I was playing the japanese version of the game previously. Actually i purposely bought a laptop with high end graphics card to play this game like quite long ago lol. Recently it was released in english to my surprise. Well, SMT3 was also released in english and i was equally surprised that time.

A few ppl informed me of its release and now its currently in open beta. There's not much to do in game except make friends, run dungeons and do the quest/acts. However being an SMT game and all the darkness of the game really draws me.

frustration, depression and sorrow

I believe that everybody has the freedom of speech to blog about anything they want. Hence I shall not mention names but a certain person has pissed me off yet again. This is the 2nd time I was pang sehed/played out by him. I wonder why I am I so suay to meet such ppl. Actually it is not suay, there are many ppl like this. You help them and this is the way you get in return. Then again I have lost another of my closer friends and this has again saddened me but this is life. Then again I wish to be independent and train myself to receive all kinds of suffering, torture, sacarcism, criticism and whatsoever to prepare myself for the worst. Hence I'm in the middle of the road to independence and this person has already been blacklisted by me btw. I will never call him out or help him anymore.

This certain person, M was a good friend of mine I would say. I didn't mind helping him when he needed help. And then he wanted to eat ramen and said that he would treat. So I believed what he said and went all the way to clarke quay to meet with him. In the end he made sk and me wait for around 2 hrs, said that he would try to reach ASAP but when i called him again he refused to tell me where he was or answer my questions. Until when he asked me how much he need to bring, I asked him to bring $50 because he was supposed to treat me. He said he will only bring $30 and I said OK just use that money to pay for my share. And then he said I was a bloodsucker as that was all he had left for that month. Wtf, if that is how much he had left then in the first place why don't tell me earlier and instead make 2 girls wait for him for so long. After that not answering my phone calls, obviously on purpose and with so much insincerity.

I AM DISGUSTED with his attitude.

It's been so long since I updated my blog. Hehe. So many things happened the past months. I've been busy with school work and all. My short holiday is finally here. I have about only 1 week til sch starts again. Since more friends are coming to join me in yr 3 I hope I am able to cope ^_^. The last semester wasn't very good.. I do hope I am able to pass my exams.. Also if my classmates hadn't helped me I would still be lost.

I had a really bad stomachache the last few weeks and was admitted into hospital after eating medicine from the 2nd GP I went to see. I had to stay there for about 3 days for observation. Thank God it was not appendix problem. Most likely it was due to food poisoning. Haha it felt terrible in the hospital - not being able to eat good food >_<. I'm currently attending jlpt prep classes together with my normal classes. It will be a rushed semester next week as my exams unfortunately are going to fall on the same week as JLPT. Hmm.. I just hope all goes well bah.

Last week was quite an eventful week for me. I completed summon night twin age and am now playing ffta2 and ff revenant wings on ds. I met up with deborah about twice as we haven't met up for like so long. She's so knowledgeable, she knows practically everything. Like gothic stuff and about animals and various places + japanese food. Went jktv with Terence kor and his friend the ex-owner of Innocent Rose productions (they specialise in chokers, i heard closed down liaoz). Went normal ktv with ntu ex-classmates to ying chou. Found out nesy can sing really well and her japanese is so good too ^^.

Not to mention I went the coscon yesterday. I haven't been to a cosplay for years so i did enjoy myself anyway. There was nothing much to see by the way. The more interesting exhibition sections were probably the dollfies area.

I like this doll in the bunny suit ^^.

There was also an afro guy the 1 in ddr. He didn't get into top 3 but I thought he was cool and funny. He danced abit also.

Hmm.. not many cosplayers came for this event and only terence and jeremy kors went. Terence kor was together his group of gothic cosplayer friends while Jeremy kor was apparently more interested in the ddr machine.

After that we met up with Roger and we went shokudou to eat dinner. I love their honey and butter waffles. The red bean + sweet corn + mochi ice also not bad.

201 presentation

Yesterday I forgot to update my blog. Hmm.. I had been doing my Java Assignment that's why..

The presentation for 201 continued yesterday afternoon. My group felt so lucky that we presented last week as we had to submit other assignments this week ^_^. Oh our presentation went well last week and we were the first group to present. Also thanks to Ruhui who did all the formatting and compilation of the report, the rest of us did not have to lift a finger.
The second batch of groups presenting were not that good.. The 1st group that presented wasn't good. I don't remember if it was Cat's group... Anyway Cat's group took way too long. And there was this group whose member was this guy that I didn't like. I myself personally don't know him, but from the way he talks I can tell that he's really weird -.-. One time he saw Camelia and looked at her from head to toe and said "You're still looking good" or sth like that. That's so sick. And when he was presenting, he went on and on and we didn't understand what the hell he was talking. When prem asked him to hurry up (lol), he was pissed off and answered back. Anyway, according to Ruhui she said he was just talking in circles, because everything he was talking was actually the same thing and insignificant details.
I was so bored, worse still I didn't bring a laptop. But the only group I really paid attention to was Marco's group. Marco did a really good presentation and he was walking around in circles, it was hilarious. Erm, his team mates however were made up of other foreigners and their english is hardly understandable >_<... The worst was the Vietnamese guy in Marco's group who needed a microphone! to talk -_-. At first, Shilpa was telling me that he NEEDED one anyway, so I thought it was understandable. But when he started talking -_-... nobody understood a word he was saying. It was like all mixed up with some unknown language.. I felt embarrassed for him and tried to restrain my laughter -_-. Anyway he's also a weird guy, and its scary that he doesn't talk at all and had been harrassing my friend -_-.
Also recently I've been wearing skirts to school ^_^. A few reasons were that I wanted to wear nice clothes and the weather was sooo hot these days! Some of my classmates commented on my clothes that I wore to school. Some were shocked, while others thought I wanted to gou ying nan ren (j/k only) -_-. But actually I just want to feel happy wearing nice and comfy clothes. Wearing jeans everytime is just so warm and heavy.
My classmate introed another really good JDrama to me -> Last Friends. It's another highly recommended JDrama that is about relationships and friends. It covers some very interesting issues of psychological/mental problems and love triangles. The theme song is "Prisoner of Love" sang by Utada Hikaru ^_^. Not to mention that one of my favourite actors -> Nishikido Ryo (from 1 litre of tears) is acting as the bad guy in this JDrama -_-.

Also I have been frequently accessing Yahoo SG auctions to look for cheap clothes and accessories. Recently I bought a dress from there but today when I received the dress it was not the red 1 I had bid for =(. I'm extremely dissappointed with the seller who made a mistake sending me the wrong dress and sending my red 1 to another buyer -_-!! I absolutely love the red 1 more than the blue 1. I'm still thinking whether I should refund the dress or keep it >_<... '

G&L shops at bugis

Firstly I was introduced to this JDrama - 絶対彼氏 (Absolute Boyfriend). Iabsolutely love it! It is a must watch because it's hilariously funny and entertaining. Episode 2 is out on mysoju.com Go watch!

Okay next topic... Today went shopping again spent slightly less than $100 bah....abt $90 or so buying clothes. Haha. Wee, I'm going crazy. I don't know what's happening to me, I'm becoming a shopper holic or sth lidat. No expensive lolita clothes for me for a few months! Today I followed yu yuan's list of JSF stores in SG and went Bugis. I went to 77th street at bugis, and actually this is the first I knew about a G&L section inside it! They sold quite alot of G&L stuff, the price quite expensive. For example, I saw a few maid costumes and tie shirts, lots of skull stuff. I was looking for sweator again. I saw a nice 1 at 77th street. Inside had a black and white strip layer but it was almost 50... In the end I didn't buy any sweator. Next I walked along bugis street. This is actually the first time I walked through the area so thoroughly. CATz apparel is somewhere in the middle of bugis street and it sells lots of G&L stuff. I was interested in a few of their skirts but I couldn't wear =(. Still haven't lost enough weight -_-. Oh, the disney store was having a sale on clothes so I bought a few stuff.

After that I went back to Bugis MRT to check for directions to Alice 88th. I met Alvin! びっくりしました！Alvin has grown taller and has some how changed. I haven't seen him for such a long time so I was really happy to see him ^_^. Oh yea, we were waiting for his gf to come. When she did, we were heading the same direction so we just followed them ^_^. This is called killed 2 birds with 1 stone right. Haha. Oh yea back to Alice 88th. They have a wide range of lolita clothes. Actually I'm quite happy with the service and will probably go back there =X. I know I know, it's very money consuming >_<. Actually the aunty there seems friendly... Ok but anyway I bought a skirt and top to match -> that was about $78. Felt quite guilty actually, but I was happy that I bought it anyway -_-.

Qiu yue was working at pasta mania today. We went to say hi to her. Don't wish to di siao her as she seemed really busy. I ate at tea hut for dinner >_<
Also recently I'm playing poupee girl http://pupe.jp/ I sent out some invitations to friends but I don't think they know how to play. The game is partially in Japanese and I think most of the players are japanese. There's lots of cute items from other players. Basically you can post your items and show it to others. You get more ribbons and you can dress up your avatar.

Today I went orchard with dearie and spent quite alot of $. I mean... usually I don't spend that much $ so I do feel a bit guilty. But I'm so happy I bought the things I really adore! For example, today at PS there's a new gothic lolita shop called Miss Whatever. They sell so many bags, some of them are really cool especially the one i bought ^^. They sell mostly accessories and bags bah.. I purposely went to PS to go daiso shop. I'm glad I went there. I
bought a blue/black checkered shoelace - goes well with black canvas shoes (I want to buy black canvas shoes) and a skull decored scarf -> I think I can tie it to my new bag or wear it as an arm band or sth. I'm sure I have some use for it anyway. Trying not to buy too much skull stuff also, although alot of skull stuff look cool. Skulls are too common everywhere.

Okay, then at Far East I was looking for Haru and Blood Romance. But the main motive of going to Far East was to buy a good sweater. I found Blood Romance -> Their clothes mostly comprises of dresses which I don't dare to wear still because I haven't lost enough weight! I saw a few cool t-shirts but not really to my liking, not much choice also. I used to love wearing dresses when I was young but now...><

I watched forbidden kingdom yesterday. Great show, great actors, lots of funny parts and lots of fighting and action + cg. Overall entertaining throughout the show. Unfortunately, we were only able to get seats for 3rd row side and had to strain our necks to see the full screen. It was uncomfortable but I still loved the movie. I like Jet Li and Li BingBing aka the Silver Witch. I like her hair, I like the way she turns when fighting and her evil stare ^^ I like her whipping ooooo... I like her clothes so gothic.

Recently, I've become more interested in golita lolita, japanese punk street fashion. I mean all along I've liked the fashion and wanted to wear such clothes. But because the clothes are costly (handmade and imported stuff) and I am not thin enough to wear, I never wore them b4. Currently I'm on a diet. I hope to lose weight fast and effectively by exercising more and eating less calories a day. An after I diet I want to go on a shopping spree for cool clothes!

* Watched HIZAKI grace project Moshou DVD

Actually I ordered this from play-asia and it took a week to arrive. But exactly on the day after my exams! So zhun wor... This is really highly recommended and I think I could keep on re-watching it. Seriously, it was worth the money I paid.

The Monshou DVD consists of a live concert performance, slide shows and making of monshou. Every song performed was great because Juka's voice is so good and Hizaki's guitar solo's are the best. Every song was fast paced and had fast guitar licks. Furthermore, Hizaki looked so cute in his dress prancing around and turning around at times. Hehe.

The best was Hizaki's solo performance for "Race Wish". And also when I first found out about HIZAKI grace project, I also came across Versailles their former band with Kamijio as vocalist. It is also a very good band and highly recommended ^^.

* Fugoh Keiji and One Pound Gospel

I've been watching these 2 JDramas for sometime and I find them both very good. Fugoh Keiji is mostly about detective cases with Kyoko Fukada as the main char. She's a rich girl who becomes a police officer. See how she uses her money to manipulate the hearts of criminals.

One Pound Gospel is kamenashi's latest Jdrama. A boxer falls in love with a nun and has to reduce weight to take part in competitions.

As for games, currently I'm still playing PSP games. There's this awesome looking strategy RPG but in jap. Poison-pink.

Growlanser V: Heritage of War
In my opinion, this is the greatest real-time strategy game of the yr! The growlanser series has been one of my most favourite strategy games I've played so far. Now most games are becoming real-time, there are ppl who still love turned based strategy. But after playing growlanser V, now I think I prefer real-time strategy in a 3D environment.
As the name implies, HOW -> There are multiple characters you can control, allowing you to explore all their storylines which are all linked together. Eventually, you will take control of the main character and try to put an end to the war. Many parties are involved and the storyline gets more complicating and intriguing. Most of the missions' criteria will keep changing at different points of the battle. Sometimes failure to follow the mission victory condition will result in game over. But these are the elements that make growlanser V fun to play. Thanks to atlus, growlanser V was released in english. And next I hope there will be plans for growlanser VI's release in english.
Soul Nomad
This is the latest NIS game released.. So far I've completed the normal path and I'm now playing the demon path. The demon path involves more training (levelling) to beat the bosses, so I probably won't beat it soon. However, makai kingdom is still the best NIS game. Soul Nomad is funny but the storyline is bad. I can't say I like this game but I'll try to complete demon path anyway.
Persona 3/Persona 3 Fes
I think I've already reviewed on the JP version of P3. There probably won't be any US release for P3 FES. I'm still playing FES which is the event that happens after P3. There's a new char and the battles are much tougher than normal gameplay. The bosses are all mixed so their weaknesses and strengths all differ. Training is a solution to beat the bosses more easily, but most of the time you just need alot of luck and powerful personas to kill them.
Oh yea, quite many things happened to me recently and I wasn't able to update my blog. Don't know whether I got complain in my blog before, but a had a classmate who was bullying me in school for quite sometime. I was quite sad and angry at the same time because of many things he said. He is someone who doesn't care about other ppl, he's selfish and makes use of other ppl. Even after that, he did not apologise to me and threatened me infront of my classmates. Anyway, I don't have anything to do with him already. I'm trying hard to stay away from him, sometimes away from my classmates too because they're always with him. Doesn't matter anyway, actually this case has been resolved so long as he stops disturbing me, I'm happy.
As I got to know more of my classmates, I find that quite a handful of them are quite pro in programming and stuff. There's also some of them who earned direct entry to yr 2 and are struggling with assignments. But I think this term is really ok, because for databases we are learning from scratch and for C++ programming, Mr. Tham is our lecturer and he's much more linien than other lecturers.

Atelier Iris Grand Phantasm (completed)

ok just a few words to describe this game. it sux alot except for maybe the cute fairies and some funny jokes in the story. I don't know but atelier iris 3 is lousier than 2 for sure.. Having completed 1 and 2 before I forced myself to finish 3..
The worst part of the game is the dungeon system and quests. I felt the whole game was merely made up of irritating quests that require you to enter and exit dungeons numorous times. There's hardly any storyline! The usual "the world is going to be destroyed storyline". It was a letdown but I knew I couldn't expect much from GUST.Seriously, it is a waste of time and when I was about to complete the game I found out that I should have chosen only those quests that awarded me guild points to proceed to the next chapter. That's why I got really fed up with this game and its dungeon time limit. You must rush through all dungeons and if you escape from battles the time is lost... and of course battles are sometimes hard to avoid because the whole map is full of monsters. I wasted alot of time doing other needless quests.

Sigh.

Anyway before atelier iris I was at the last chapter of odin sphere but the data got corrupted due to unfinished saving -.-. I really don't want to replay it even though the storyline is good because I went through the dungeons many times and fought the bosses many times also.Currently I'm playing shin megami tensei imagine online this is the link :

Shining Force EXA completed

I'll quickly write a review on this game because I have alot of things to do.

Overall I would recommend playing shining force EXA even though I preferred Shining Force NEO alot more than this series. Most of the dungeons in shining force EXA are taken from NEO btw and in EXA there are 2 chars you can switch between - Toma and Cyrille. Toma is much easier to use and more powerful than Cyrille so I used him more. Despite my spoilt disc which kept jamming during the game I was still able to complete the game because there's more gameplay than storyline.

I've been sick for the last few weeks. Seriously from headaches to sore throats, flu, fever, vomitting, motion sickness. Apparently, my classmates show no sympathy for me and continue to piss me off. Most guys are so direct in talking rubbish, even if they are meant to be jokes they never consider other peoples feelings, girls are much more different not all the time they will directly say things with sarcacism etc. Therefore I am FORCED to defend myself by talking back at them. If I don't talk they will say I stone and anti-social, if I talk I say the wrong things and get critisized by them -.-.

fortress WOP. The person I traded with was very friendly and nice... he didn't mind my snowboard not being MAX. At first he told me if count each feather
2.5~2.6M * 50 + 25 is about 150~155M while my almost MAX snowboard is worth about 135M. I think he wanted me to add extra but in the end he was still agreeable.

currently playing shining force EXA. haven't blogged for so long liao lor. busy lately and was sick and tired for the last few weeks after getting dehydrated at Sentosa. obviously somebody like me who hasn't exercised for months and only sit at home and play game got sick ez after basking 1 whole day under Sentosa sun. >_<.
I spent the whole last night trying to install and patch Shin Megami Tensei IMAGINE Online. It kept giving me patching erros which can only be solved by repeatedly opening the stupid program to repatch -.- then when i finally patched finished the stupid thing.... I was so damn excited to play it lor. I realised my graphics card did not support the game because a min requirement of 128MB video memory is needed and my graphics card only 64MB.
Imagine the horror and sadness lor -.-. I might consider buying a laptop on the nxt PC show that has more video memory so i can play IMAGINE before it becomes commercialised or sth... (they might not commercialise... it is currently still free though I don't know how long it will stay free...) Because my toshiba laptop is about to spoil.
Recently I've been busy giving tuition to p4 and p2 kids and with school. I'll stop here because I have to go out soon.

Lately, I've been quite free because I'm not working and my school is only on tues and fri. So the rest of the time is spent going out, playing TW and watching J-Dramas and animes =X! Not that I don't want to find a job, but I've already tried... Due to my need of a flexible timing job I think many ppl don't want to employ mi... >_<. Unless i get something like a waiter job.
Recently wireless internet has been cut off as well so I'm unable to use the internet in my room using my laptop... I haven't been playing TW much because my brother has to use the computer for his school work. Let me recommend some nice songs and j-drama ^^.

ｃｈ１３-１　JTW

This is the few times I PT with Japanese people on JTW ^^. A few days ago we tried to do ch13-1 with 4 ppl -.-. Even though シベ王さん　is lv 245 we didn't make it. So in order to finish ch13-1 and get the tesit wings a large group of people are needed. Tichiels are also v.imp for barrier/mag barrier and bless. This group has 3 tichiels and 3-5 maxs.

So we go to the sand dungeon 3 and run quite a long way, they flip some switches and then we kill 1 minion which is very difficult to defeat with a few people.. Next we go into some room and kill all the enemies in the room. I think only shibeou and peach san know that I'm not japanese.

This is actually the real boss. You can't see him because everybody is chionging at it. At some intervals this boss does a very damaging attack and hits all surrounding ppl.. So most ppl will die and some will have very little hp left.

Everybody will run away and heal, re barrier then go back and chiong until he's dead!

The reward is this tesit wings ^^.
The long new year/christmas weekend/holiday has been a great form of relaxation for me! I was able to spend lots of time with dearie ^^. Even though we didn't see the fireworks =(.
I met Cow/Jeremy kor this weekend also. We went to Cash Studio together with Siew Keng to sing jap songs. There's a book of jap songs for selections and there are quite a number of j-rock songs ^^.
And also I was able to sell alot of my things on TW like my Bat helmet - 7.5M, Spider wings - 20M, couple wings & couple hat and my unlimited fireworks!

Passion Game/Anime Music Concert by Eminence

Last night I went for the Passion concert at Victoria Concert Hall. I should have brought a camera phone so that I could at least take some pictures of the musicians lor.. I'm really glad that I went for this concert because I am a fan of Yasunori Mitsuda. I have been a fan of his music ever since I played Chrono cross and Xenogears. And seeing the many gamer faces at the concert yesterday... there seems to be alot of Mitsuda-san's fans in Singapore as well. I don't have any pictures so I can't show them on my blog =/.. But the concert was great.. I liked most of the songs especially those by Mitsuda from Chrono cross, Xenosaga, Kirite and Sailing To the World as well as the songs by Yuki Kajiura. Mitsuda san looked very cool playing the greek guitar. The japanese violinists were very good as well. However for the autograph session, I was rather disappointed that Mitsuda san did not show me his face and nv said anything at all. Sigh, I didn't even get to see a proper close up view of him face to face... or thank him because he kept looking down -.- Zzzz

Oh yea, I met with Siew Keng so I saw the #FF ppl also. Lots of new faces.. Darry, Munchiew, Junyan are the only ones that I have seen before. Well.. actually I thought that I wouldn't see them anymore as I haven't seen them for years.. A gathering with the f fppl brought back lots of memoried anyway. I introduced Roger to Siew Keng. I expected them to get along well and they did. lolx.

Sunday 24th Dec 2006

Had dinner at New York New York with Sy, Lh and Qy. I missed them alot =X. lolx. Duno where to eat so go there.. BUT we shouldn't have gone there! Because they raised the price today -.-. But there was free candy floss. The first time I went New York New York was with Siew Keng, Holly, her friend and Vincent.. Quite ok with the food there.

After that we went Starbucks to drink and we were chased out 10 mins later and then never even cleared the table before we sat down there. Worse still, it was a wrong choice to drink at Starbucks. It totally ruined my X'mas eve. Sigh. I drank this chocolate chip cream ice blended which made me feel like vomitting later on. It's horrible lah. I don't want to drink at Starbucks anymore =(.

btw i completed ff7 dirge last week together with vincent. i found the game overall pretty easy. especially the last boss.. I didn't believe that was the last boss at first
because he went down so soon =/. then when i thought there should be more the
game ended already o.O.

ff7 dirge may be a shooting game but i still like it much more than ff12 even though it has quite a weak plot. vincent valentine is 1 of my fav chars in ff7 so I was glad that they made him the main char in this game, also Gackt's redemption - the theme song for ff7 dirge suits the nature of the game very well.

today was my last day of work.. very happy so went shopping a bit. tomorrow got game music concert.. it only lasts for about an hr -.-. But i don't mind... I'm a fan of Yasunori Mitsuda, I really want to see him perform live!! Too bad cannot take pictures of him =(... but at least i will get to see him live!! last week was a tiring and problematic week for me.. I worked ot most of the days last week to finish some work that my supervisor urgently needed, so i had no choice but to rush. i have had bad flu when i'm inside my office for weeks now and the medicine the doctor gave me is not working. Actually, I'm wondering whether its more of a psychological effect lor. Some of my collegues also blamed me for passing the flu virus to them. Sigh, I dun want to talk to my collegue who sits beside me anymore.. She talks rubbish alot and she confronts me like a gangster...

I wanted to stop work the week before christmas because the last week of this yr there's christmas holiday and i have orientation ... so i told the agency and they wanted me to email them and the company a resignation letter. i asked my supervisor and boss they also shocked.. because i'm merely a temp staff only work there for more than 2 mths why need to write resignation letter. anyway I just told my boss and let her handle the rest from here.. when they want me to send then i just send lor..

SIM also called me up and asked me whether i want to take yr 2 modules in jan next yr. I told them yes but anyway i emailed the course manager because i can't contact them during my working hrs. so i need to discuss this situation with the course manager..

Also part of the money I earned from selling 54 million JMS merus to a US buyer thru paypal was eaten up by paypal. Because they gave such a sucky exchange rate and they charge interest as well and withdrawal fee. And return fee for failed transaction.. my withdrawal failed so haiz... i am still very heart pain about this issue.
i was really glad it was the weekends even though sat morning sux - quarelling with my mom at parkway really spoilt my day.

today me and my jap classmates went tiong bahru market to eat dinner. I brought vincent along. We all ordered alot of food and ate alot. Hmm.. i quite happy with my sat jap class at pyaess basically because we laugh at each others jokes and we talk alot with each other. I also like my classmates. During yuko sensei's lesson we have alot of time to interact with each other and practice conversations. yuko sensei may appear to be quite stern and serious/scary at times but through time i found out that she likes to watch movies ^^ like deathnote and even SAW O.o. sometimes she'll talk to us about other things. She can be quite a cute lady.

btw today was my last jap lesson of the year. The 2nd part of jlpt4 is jan 6 nxt year and we're continuing on the sat class.

i am looking for a movie called moonlight jellyfish. Tatsuya Fujiwara starrs as the main char of the show. I saw the trailers of the movie and I really want to watch this show. The theme song is sang by Tsukiko Amano and its a very sad song.

i'm in a TOTALLY spoilt, rotten, buay song with everything mood now. I am very very very angry with this fucking agency called ACHIEVE CAREER CONSULTANT. friends, be warned... never go into this agency. they're a bunch of idiots who duno anything. Especially this so called "SENIOR CONSULTANT" LYNN, who does not know anything. i FEEL LIKE SMACKING her damn face and slapping her!

i think i'm going mad or sth. last night i did not even sleep at all because of my neighbour's stupid dog that barked the whole night.. sigh... i'm very sad and moody now. I tink my bad temperedness and everything is coming back. i dun tink i'll ever cure like this... i can't control my character and my bad temperedness.

this morning i quarelled with my mom... the whole day i felt moody and when i receive a slip of paper from the stupid bloody agency i got even more mad. every morning of work I suffer like mad. i feel so cold because of the air con... some ppl even ask me why Im wearing a wind breaker to work. something is seriously wrong with me... i keep catching a cold from morning to the end of the day in my office with a wind breaker on. i really hate this... i went to see the doctor she say i got some allergy and gave me some medicine, but the medicine hardly works... i duno wad's going on with me anymore... i tink im having some psychological problem that makes me so worked up over small little things and worry about every thing. I hate this kind of useless worrying and mood swings. I hate myself for being so useless and timid sometimes....

there's nobody i can turn to at such times except dearie... and dearie is very busy with his own work to do. im always blabbering all my problems to him after he has such a stressed up day. I'm being nth but a nuisance...

i have a lack of close friends that i can talk to and gif me good advice i dun even go out with frens now... da jie is very busy... i dun want to disturb her but i know she's one whu always supports me and help me in times of need.. when i was in poly all my frens know i dun go out and like to stay at home and play games.. now i use every weekend to spend all the time with dearie but sometimes i envy other ppl whu have many good frens that they can spend time with...

anyway the reason why im angry with achieve is because of many things... i dun tink i want to talk about it anymore.. after all i have about 2-3 more weeks of work and i'm going to stop working even though my manager wants me to work for them until end of jan. its not because i dun like working there.. even though the work is alot but im quite happy with my colleagues and boss there. i just dun wan to be under that stupid agency. they've given me enuff problems, i don't wish to talk to her at all.

haiz... i'm going to watch ouran high school host club now.. i hope that will cheer me up.

Valkyrie Profile Silmeria & FFXII (completed)

Here's my review on VP Silmeria. I'm currently playing thru seraphic gate which is the bonus dungeon, 2nd floor.

VP Silmeria is the long awaited sequel to Valkyrie Profile(PSX) also known by VP Lenneth(PSP). This is one of the best and long awaited games of the year.

The 3 best US releases of RPGs (in my opinion) this yr are Xenosaga III, Valkyrie Profile Silmeria and Tales of Abyss.

My Rating for VP Silmeria:
Storyline - 8/10
Graphics - 10/10
Music - 8/10 (music is by Motoi Sakuraba, I personally like the battle music although it is VERY repetitive)
Gameplay - 8/10

And also a new 3D battle system far superior to valkyrie profile which is 2D.

I love the battle system of valkyrie profile especially the special attacks and the battlefield fighting. In VP2 there's a new thing called break mode. Sometimes when u deal enuff damage to enemies u can enter break mode and there will be a few seconds to hit numerous times with no AP cost. There are also party and area effects that can be implemented using sealstones collected through dungeons. These sealstones are useful for bossfights. (eg: x2 exp sealstones, sealstones that reduce elemental/phy damage). Also i've seen many ppl comment in the gamefaqs forum that VP:silmeria is a game where level is not important. I'm not too sure myself because level seems to be quite important as well.

The only thing that disappointed me in VP Silmeria is the ending. And unsimiliar to VP1 which had alternate endings, VP Silmeria only has 1 ending.

I also forgot to review on FFXII which vincent completed a few weeks ago.

Yes... expect very bad comments from me.

I understand there are many gamers in this world.. different gamers have different preferences. But reviewing FFXII based on the history of FF games, FFXII isnothing compared to previous FFs. Its the lousiest FF i have ever played. It is not a good RPG and it is a game that wastes ALOT of time because basically it's a boring game.

As i've mentioned before FFXII follows in the footsteps of FFT which is the only part i'm glad because I love FFT. It is one of my most favourite games and first few strategy RPGs i've played. FFT is all about Ivalice set in ancient europe times. It's about love, betrayal and knights and the storyline is very nice. FFXII totally shattered this impression of Ivalice.

The only maybe "more interesting" parts of ff12 are the beginning and the ending part. but in the middle portion of the game NOTHING is happening. the storyline does not unfold and the fmvs are speechless (or only have 1 sentence in them and show them walking). They're almost unneccessary. You have to pass through many unneccessary dungeons to get to 1 location. The dungeons and bosses have no relevance to the storyline whatsoever. The espers suck a great deal, they're useless in the game for me.

The battle system is very auto. U set gambits like a program code to make ur party do things when a certain condition is fulfilled. At first i didn't mind the battle system... actually i'm in fact quite OK with the battle system.. the major problem lies in the storyline the dungeons and the language in this game. The people are talking like star wars/lotr chars and the "riddles" in the dungeons also uses Master Yoda's sort of talking. The knights looks like from star wars... what happened to all those cool knights in FFT like holy knight, divine knight, dark knight, arc knights... instead these knights have been replaced by black cloaked/masked man -.-. I mean... even when i first saw the starting FMV it looked so dumb to me. Btw the OP is the ending scene -.-. i duno whether the creators were lazy or wad lah but it seems as though they nv put in much effort to emphasize the storyline in the game.

Oh yes and the storyline is about a Queen who is trying to take revenge on the Empire. And that's the end of the storyline.

And the chars... your main char is Van is an orphan who looks like Hugo of Suikoden III whose dream is to be a sky pirate. That's all he said about himself at the beginning of the game. ok... then he follows the queen because his brother was killed by the enemy. he also wants to take revenge on the empire maybe? i am unclear about his objective. nvm about hugo, he sux as a main char lor. the only char that i may come to like is balthier who's the sky pirate in the game. well, partly because balthier reminds me of beowulf from FFT. anyway, he follows the queen lends her his services and all that expecting nth in return? -.- and his apprentice, the rabbit girl i forgot her name. Her voice acting is very bad.. she talks with no expression and
very unnaturally. ugh, i hate to hear her talk. Same for the uncle who talks like an indian... he's not indian but he talk like indian... Then next is Basch... Basch i tink does have a reason to follow the queen anyway so i won't say much about him... and panelo.. i only know that she and van are both orphans or frens. we don't know anything else about her background, so i duno wad she's doing in the story. oh btw the other guy, Vahn's smaller brother reminds me of Mustadio but he's only a guest char.

so dun play ff12 unless u are very free and got alot of time to waste... because i never did the sidequests in the game cuz I know they're a waste of time.
ah.. my blog going to undergo revamp. Today I just realised the words are very hard to read because of the background, they're like 1 chunk 1 chunk then the bg makes it even harder to read. need to utilise more of the given space. my BBS is down, duno how to make it back up... so nxt week i'll change everything...

mm... i've been playing valkyrie profile silmeria for the last few weeks. close to completion but the last boss is much too hard with my current lv.

anyway from the last month until now i've been working part-time and temporary until the end of this yr. I work in a garment company that deals with alot of samples. yesterday i just took home quite alot of long sleeve shirts. i can wear most of the women shirts but the men shirts are much too big (actually they are M size 15.5) and the smallest there is. but my supervisor gave me alot so i just took. i'll probably give them away to my friends or relatives next time.. anyway the job is tiring with alot of things to do... i work from 9 to 6 (5 days work) normally i finish at 6 or 6.15 sometimes 6.30 plus. I do admin work like filing, cutting samples, data entry, packing, typing invoices, photocopying/scanning. the pay is quite low.. 6.50/hr, exclusive of the 1 hr break with cpf as well. i work hard too... but alot of the ppl there see me as a quiet and shy girl. i'm also more attached to my supervisor because i always eat lunch with her and talk to her more. my boss is ok lor.. nxt week i have to work under the manager... and i dun really like her... but it can't be helped also lar..

i'm very happy to finish tales of abyss and i'm very satisfied with the game itself. after completing tales of legendia, i felt that there may be no hope for the tales series. but after playing tales of abyss which is a billion times better than legendia... i felt tales of abyss is probably the best of the tales series so far. Tales of symphonia being 2nd best ^^. and if u have played tales of symphonia before, you will find that the system, battle and menus follow tales of symphonia style. even certain terms are based on tales of symphonia, although tales of abyss is a whole new story itself.

Jade is my favourite tales character! don't u just love his sarcasism and bishounen look ^^. i would say that most of the jokes in tales of abyss come from Jade. and because of Jade the game is funnier and livelier. unlike tales of legendia which is longwinded and has lame jokes. 2nd being genis from tales of symphonia ^^. furthermore, i use Jade as my battle lead char 80% of the time! mainly because i can slack with him around. Compared to other tales series like tales of rebirth and symphonia, i also liked to control magic attackers. however, those magic attackers can only cast magic they're not good physical fighters. but Jade is different, you can control jade as both a magic attacker and physical attacker, which is why i like him alot. casting magic is slack which is why i prefer to control magic casters more than phy attackers, i don't want to press the controller until my fingers hurt. lol.

the special attacks in tales of abyss rox too especially mystic artes ^^. i am extremely glad that the tales creators followed the path of tales of symphonia and previous tales series instead of legendia which is a total failure i feel ^^. haha! i keep emphasizing that because its the truth, do not waste time playing that stupid game! for the last battle of tales of abyss i used Jade, Luke, Guy and Tear. i just had tear keep casting revitalise and ressurection on any fallen chars. i felt my party was a bit low levelled.. anise was lv 54 and the rest around 58. i usually run away from unneccessary battles. but its perfectly OK for tales of abyss because the boss fights are all very easy. except for the last boss that may need a bit more strategy. i controlled Jade and just keep casting Absolute from far, if near i will use FOF change on him but it doesn't matter because its safer to cast magic from afar then go near the boss at let him use mystic artes and all that crap that takes 4k-8k damage each person. then if my frontline died i will send Jade to phy att and defend infront while Tear casts resurrection on the fallen allies. then when Jade overdrives i will just use his mystic arte as usual.

I was thinking about the ending of toa. whether the person whu appears is the real Luke or did Jade revive Luke from the dead or create a replica of Luke.

SMT Devil Summoner (kuzunoha raidou) completed

just completed devil summoner in about . . . 5 nights. . . playing from . . . 7-11 +. its a short game, 12 fast chapters only. in fact i prefer devil summoner to playing ffxii because ffxii is rather boring and a let down. having ffxii to take after the world of FFT, ivalice and FFTA char designs was something good... but the storyline of ffxii is totally dumb. anyway devil summoner has a good system and simple plot but interesting. however, the game still lacks in many ways if compared to other smt series like ddsat and smt3. like for example... devil summoner should have voice acting (now almost every game has voice acting liaoz) and... the game is too short. The battle system is not bad.. not turn based, instead real-time battle where raidou can summon 1 monster at a time. But 1 ting i really hate about action styled
fighting is pressing the buttons simultaneously.. it makes my fingers pain after awhile... haiz... -.- the battle system is far more better than ffxii. i'll
explain more later. levelling is also very fast in this game, mainly because the
game is short.

so... about ffxii. i'm disappointed in it. it was very FFT influenced but the game turned out shitty. especially the gambit system is screwed. it's like programming language or sth. enemy hp > 50% - do sth. that kind of thing and u rank it in priority. this may add problems also... like for example... to make a char auto steal u put a gambit on that char enemy hp > 70% steal (there's only 70% and 100%) so the char will keep stealing until the enemy's hp is below 70% which poses problems. but 1 good thing is because of gambits the battle can be entirely auto. but still alot of the gambits seem useless to me... and i still prefer turned based final fantasy instead of real time. real time is also not neccessary bad if the system is ok... but the gambit system is no good. but the main reason i don't like ffxii is because of the storyline... it takes the player no where. Simply... there is no meaning to this game.

now currently... i'm working part-time 9-6pm 5 days work at Oxford International which is a company dealing with garments and samples. my work scope is doing admin stuff like filing, photocopying, scan, print, sending invoices/packages, packing and many other things. basically i'm under this person and she gives me work to do. there's really alot of things to do... i often work until forget time and can't finish the day's work. im paid hrly and thru agency... actually i just wanted to find a job to get a bit of money, get some work experience, take up my time until nxt yr.. it was damn hard to get a job in the IT field with my current skills and diploma in ifc. i gave up finding 1.. most of the IT jobs i also dun have the skills or experience in that field... sigh the IT job market really siao lah. design also.. kind of gave up thinking of furthering studies in web design liao. now i want to go back to studying...i need to get a degree.. for the last few mths, i already know how difficult it is to find a job... and now after working, everyday i come home tired. its not even a permanent job also lah. somemore i earn very little... deduct cpf, transport, food all that. haiz... can't complain.. now end of the yr hard to find job also ><.
my supervisor told me to take up a job while studying part-time... so as the gain work experience or after that may not be able to find a job. but i can't do that, i already know how tough it's gonna be to handle studies.. and work at the same time is very tiring and studies will suffer as a result. aiyar, wadever it is i need to enjoy my weekends b4 i go back to work nxt week. lol, why am i blogging all my thoughts. i tink i tink too much and worry too much -.-. most importantly, i gotta enjoy my weekend.

Many things happened recently. I chose to quit school and I think many of my friends do not know about this other than my classmates (now my ex-classmates), my family and a few of my closer friends. actually my ntu friends should understand my reasons and difficulty the most because they also experience the same things that I experience. but I know that most of them will be able to make it and get their degree. I can see they handle stress well, many of them are really smart and good in programming. They always ask questions to clear their doubts and they are very hardworking. I admire them and most importantly, I like my classmates too. Nesy, Shuyan, Adrian, Ying Li, Jair, Jane, Angeline and others who are also not in my class - Sri and the other SCE girls, John, Samuel. They have all been great friends and helpful too. For every week I was required to hand in my java lab reports, I can't do finish and I don't know how to do.. until the last minute Vincent will help me do and I will rush out the report. This is unacceptable in my point of view, everybody else who does their own programme does it their own unlike me... And the java programme would take me very long to do because to me the difficulty level was a
great jump from poly. Adrian, Jair are also from IFC but their level of programming is much stronger than mine. I don't know about Sri but I know she also has her difficulties.

For my logic design I took 9 hrs of hands-on experiment to complete my first report. Whereas other people just came in do for 2 hrs and get the results they want. Dmaths and Fmaths were hard to understand and got very difficult halfway through. I tried my best to study hard but it all tired me out and I lost interest in all the subjects I was taking, I could not absorb anymore and my ears did not want to hear anymore, I just knew I couldn't handle it anymore. Furthermore it is only the first semester of my uni, if I am unable to cope and have no interest in what I am study I my as well quit school..

So I didn't go to school anymore for the next few days and didn't sleep well either because all I could think about was what to do next and what job to look for etc. Some of my classmates got worried so I told them that I quit school. I really am going to miss them but it is the choice I made and I know i'm not cut out for uni life.

For the last few days I've been very busy. All I've been doing is look for a job and research on some other courses I can take to further my studies. My main interest is web designing, web graphics design, flash and 3D animation. However I did not learn much in polytechnic as my course is a rojak course that teach a little bit of everything but in the end the graduates that come out are masters in nth. I learn flash and web design myself and I am interested to take the course in Communication Design at http://www.3dsense.net/

I already went the school to ask questions and also went La'Salle because they also offered a course that is on Communication Design. I know going into the design
industry is suicidal because there are tons of designers who have professional
works. La'Salle is more to the design side and they focus on developing creative
ideas and art which I know a very important foundation in design. However, I
have no design background whatsoever and I know my art is not that good so I
want to learn a bit on design as well as softwares that can enhance my skills in web designing. I don't just want to learn how to design sites, I want to learn the scripting part as well so I can make dynamic websites, link websites with databases, mySQL, PHP, ASP, those kind which 3DSense teaches.. Websites... everybody also know how to make static websites.

Truly, I hope that by taking this diploma in communication design course at 3DSense I can learn more things. It will be an intensive course, but I must train myself in this area because I need to learn how to meet deadlines and work under pressure etc. However... this course starts in May next year and until them I have about 5-6 months and I need to find a job. I have no lobang so I'm looking for a job on my own. I've already gone 1 interview at Sony. sigh... that place at Jurong East and the shuttle bus comes at certain timing. Working hrs 9-6... I'm taking japanese classes with Roger, maybe changing to weekend because I may have to work on weekdays. Japanese class is fun..tomorrow I'm going for another interview in some IT company at Queenstown. Today went shopping abit to buy some clothes for working. I want to find a job in the IT industry but I'm not good in anything. I don't really like programming that much either, my programming also so weak.

Haiz... then when I want to play game... my PS2 got read disc error. Actually only happens for some games. Yesterday I wanted to play my VPSilmeria and the stupid game keep hanging every 5-10secs. Sometimes can hang very long somemore. Sibei irritating. This morning I dismantle the ps2 and clean the lens but it still gif me the same problem. Anyway the person just call and tell me to change the lens S$140. Actually the thing is I dun really trust this kind of shops and duno whether can trust them. My ps2 not totally spoilt the lens still working they say spoil liao -.-, But I mean I tried cleaning it and it dun work so maybe its spoilt... actually I duno sia but last time i almost got cheated when some shop say my ps1 lens spoil change need 100 over then I went elsewhere they charge me 40 + oni not lens spoil prob nia... so

xenosaga episode III completed!

the xenosaga series was supposed to have many episodes but looks like they ended it at episode III. sad, no more xenosaga to play anyway even though i thought that the game could still be continued because the problems that were faced were not exactly solved and the future still remains unknown.

just as i expected this game to be great as it has always been, this game is my type of perfect game that i love to play. it has one of the best storylines, i think the creators and script writers went through ALOT of effort to create this game and the plot because there are too many complications and terms in this game and so many things going on that its even hard for me to remember the whole story starting from episode I. but good thing there's a database system in xenosaga III that helps to keep track of the storyline from the past episodes and current episode with full coverage of the chars, terms and storyline of this game. so there's much to be read! other than the storyline the technology in the game is so advanced and the design of the dungeons and fmvs are so well done. there are so many fmvs to watch, playing this game is like watching movie ^^.

so... in xenosaga III many many interesting things are revealed throughout the game. more of the game revolves around shion and her bf kevin and kosmos and telos a who's designed after kosmos also the things about vector's company CEO wilheim and the testatements, more about shion's father and the miltia event in the past, including febronia and virgil also chaos ... alot of things lah. so... which is actually the best xenosaga in the whole series. i would say all of them rox and u must play episode I and II to understand the story in III because if you don't play I or II ithink the feeling of completing the game and understanding the story is a bit hard. the ending is sad and happy (no spoilers) but a very nice and long ending, v.well deserved too for beating the game.

so basically the gameplay for xenosaga III is actually quite short but there's still alot of battles. the music is not as nice as b4 but the battle system is a bit different. instead of comboing enemies for normal char battles you can't hit them to the ground or sky anymore. there's a new system which involves break damage that every enemy and char has a break gauge that when filled they will knock out for a while. the ES battle improved also. now ESs can combo, revenge (i forgot whether xenosaga II also can anot). doing the sidequests in xenosaga is always fun! so i try to do most of them if i can. my fav chars are still Jr. and chaos and they look really cute in their swimsuits!

i haven't updated my blog for a long long time... esp. on games.

i complete d tales of symphonia and disgaea 2 recently. i have become a tales of symphonia fan! other tales series are good too, all except tales of legendia! i played tales of symphonia jap ver and there's only 1 word to describe it - Awesome. the storyline , battle system, chars, voice acting is great. it's the best tales game i've ever played (the only tales game i haven't tried is tales of abyss, which i heard is good and should be coming out soon in eng). in tales of symphonia my fav char is genis, who's Lloyd's best friend. mm, there's also alot of funny parts in the game(there's no eng ver on the ps2 so i used a translation guide from gamefaqs) and the gameplay is so long! about 50 hrs + without doing any sidequests.. that's considered a long game to me as i took a long time to complete it too. i need to chiong my xenosaga 3 nxt, which i believe can be completed it 1-2 days because i'm already in disc 2 and disc 1 took me 1 whole day to complete ^^. xenosaga 3 is a very good game, more secrets in the game are revealed and more of the storyline unfolds so its storyline is very interesting. there's also tons of fmvs and the battle system improved, only the music
deproved. after xenosaga 3 i will continue with growlanser IV. phew, tons of game and so little time to play. not to mention this is my 1 week holiday and i tink its gonna pass damn soon if i'm gonna play games everyday. sigh, i just hate to go back to sch...and now for a quick review on disgaea 2 since i just completed it... firstly, there's not much improvement from the first... well maybe for the music and new job classes and dark assembly voting etc. The storyline is just okay, a few funny parts in the game.. i still feel makai kingdom is much more better than disgaea 2! disgaea 2 system is pure combo leveling and u don't lv much, not like makai kingdom where u can level by alot. makai kingdom also has far more cooler chars compared to disgaea 2 and its more fun. disgaea 2 has 13 chaps and i wonder why chars like axel, fubuki or maybe laharl and some other old disgaea chars don't join ur group? (other than etna). so at the end of every chap there's the news with the bunny and plenair. haha i just find disgaea 2 lacking in some ways and its not that funny, maybe because i play xenosaga 3 and my expectations was lifted.

onimusha 4 is actually a great improvement to previous onimusha series. there's 2P mode... however its bad! because the camera angle is screwed and can't rotate unlike 1P mode. so everyting is hard to see. if playing IP mode, you can switch btw both chars and gif commands to the other char to attack, defend, follow and atttack, etc.. but the hp of the other char will be drained when attacking, hp is recovers slowly while defending. there are altogether 5 playable chars, soki, ohatsu, jubei, roberto, tenkai. (tenkai is the most useless except for his purification attack which is long ranged) ohatsu is good because she is the only long ranged char in the game and some enemies and bosses are always flying.

onimusha 4 is a 2 disc game... actually it is considered very long for a action rpg (normally action rpgs take 1 day to complete but this game is about 20+hrs! with tons of boss fights so it is sort of never boring though sometimes enemies can keep spawning and u can get killed so easily.. but the good thing is if you game over you can retry for that part as many times as u like. haha.

also my sch started liao. orientation was last week. the food in ntu arh... not nice 1... the sch also very big go there by mrt take a long ride. from bus interchange to the sch about 20Mins ride. sch starts for me again... i've been gaming for like 4-6 mths already, i tink i forgot wad i learnt in poly... i dun like studying but i don't have a choice, cuz i rather study than work. also the system is very independent there's still alot of stuff i dun know like taking minors and electives.. i just wana graduate from uni. during orientation i met some of sri and anjana's frens - janice, yong ting, joyce they are all nice but none of them are in the same course as me. infact i don't know anybody same class as me or same course as me.. haiz.i'm also currently playing tales of symphonia jap ver(its v.good! millions of times better than tales of legendia) there's a translation in gamefaqs that i'm using to understand the game. but my laptop is under repair so i stopped playing tos until my laptop is back. growlanser 5 is out too. i am sure its gonna be a great game, but in jap. it is 90% v.unlikely to come out in US because 1) growlanser IV is in jap and nv came out in eng 2) its not that popular in US but there are still fans of the growlanser series.

I have 1 word to describe this game - A TOTALLY AWESOME GAME with perfect character design and persona design(most of the personas are taken from smt3 nocturne btw), anime like fmvs, gameplay, battle system and the music totally rox (i didn't expect any less from shoji meguro, he's 1 of the best game composers in my opinion ^^). this is the best game i've ever played even though its all in japanese. i played for 60 over hrs with my best chars all at lv 90 - Main char, aigisu (aegis?), mitsuru? and this tian guy i duno how to read the kanji for their names.. but that guy's persona is lightning based and he's the guy with white hair + red shirt and attacks by boxing. He's v.cool and these 3 are the best chars in the game. the main char is the most important because he if he dies its game over. here are 2 of my fav char pics.

anyway the 2nd last boss is hard if u're low levelled around lv 60-70s and u have to defeat him about 10 times because each time he will summon a new tarot card category... erm hard to explain sth like ddsat2 the last boss. i played normal for the game so i game over many times because the game can be very hard. if u play smt3 nocturne u'll fully understand wad i mean. it's the same system. anyway this is a very highly recommended game but its better to play the english ver which is coming out beginning of nxt yr ^^.

yesterday i went with vincent's mom and him to pulua tekong for his army. i feel so sad that i have to part with dearie. sigh~ also i'm so pissed off with the game shop near my house at eunos community centre. as the boss introed action replay to me to help me zip my files and my whole memory card got corrupted NOT to mention i read in many forums and sites action replay is notorious for getting memory cards corrupted. i lost all my save files...
sigh~ i was replaying ffx-2 halfway somemore.. the worst is metal saga which deardear spent so long to train and find all the outlaws and ffx. also many of my other game files got deleted, i'm so sad.. i bought another memory card that day from that shop because the boss said my memory card was totally spoilt. I'm so dumb to believe him and i thought he was a nice guy always introing stuff to me and trying to help me. but no... i found out there was a way to reformat my memory card and now i have to get it back as he said he wanted to show customers the spoilt memory card-.-.damn.. i am also very depressed about my driving.. i crashed the
car over the pole 2 time for my reaction response.. the first time it only damaged the number plate the second time the car and i had to write report with my instructor. an average student only needs 19-24 lessons for automatic cars... while i already had over 30 and still as sucky as ever. i tried my best but dun know why i still do badly and i keep changing instructors also... some are new and dun say much while some of them keep scolding and scolding me i get so damn fed up. dun know if anybody will understand how i feel if they were in my shoes...

on to less depressing stuff.. i'm currently playing persona 3.

its a great game~. school in the morning and secret mission late at night at the tower. the chars rox too esp. yuri or i forgot her name. she's so cute. in sch u can make new frens, ans quizes and after sch its ur free time to go do wad you want - either study or go out with certain ppl or go eat.. i love the battle system even though other chars have only one persona - they can't switch personas which is kind of weird... only the main char can. metal saga is good too but the game data is lost! -_- haiz... anyway persona 3 is in jap and the gameplay is suicidal (when summoning persona chars shoot their heads. you may think its cool, but i find it bad influence for teenagers)

this mth i've been doing quite alot of stuff. i was watching hunterxhunter until around the 40+ episode and stopped because it was getting boring and too many episodes to watch also. that's why i think short and nice animes suit me best. i watched NANA both movie and anime. actually i happened to stumble across the NANA movie trailer at youtube and downloaded it. i found the movie nice and watched the anime and did not regret it. both the songs in the movie and anime are all nice and my favourites. i also watched disgaea until episode 11 but it was getting less funny compared to the first few episodes that were really funny! i also bought a disgaea chain thingy from anime house at sunplaza. also celebrated dearie's bday a few weeks ago and made him a photo frame.

my ps2 needs some sort of maintenance or repairing because i suspect its scratching my discs and making them jam at some parts of my games.. also i haven't been playing tw often at all because of its lack of updates, no time and im currently playing ffx, ffx-2 withdearie. i'm gonna buy a dvd rw tomorrow. my budget is 50-70... i duneed a very good 1 because my computer may spoil anytime.. lol. i'm currently downloading metal saga and tales of symphonia (jap).. my speed is slow but i tink i will be able to download finish 1 game in a few days. also today me and dearie went roger's house to test out the part in ffx international after defeating valefor where it would keep getting stuck at the dialogue for my ffx dvd. weirdly, we used roger's and it still got stuck.

nv update alot of things happening recently in my blog. mostly game reviews only.haha.. btw i already graduated from tp...mm nth much to the graduation only taking pictures and more pictures ^^. then got reception lor.. then after that go the cafe eat and drink. also deardear just moved house to sengkang, went there a few times liao. its so nice.. thx to his jiefu and elder sis that help design and make such a beautiful house. dear also has his own room finally! so happy for him.. i also hope his tv fix soon best by today!

hee~ oh and i'm going to ntu in july end as a freshmen taking com science.. i'm not staying in the hostel as my parents dun allow they said its unsafe and i will have a hard time getting along with my roommate, etc. mmz i'll be alone again... other ppl in my course sri and anjana are going com eng.. sianz. also... my wild arms alter code f cd suddenly hung after playing so long !!! diaoz ! -_-. the starting of the game was boring anyway dun know why the wild arms creators always like to have 3 chars and have them meet each other 1. like all the games in the series same tactic 1 -_-.

as for my driving... my test is on 17 August... on a weekday bus lane hr somemore.. haiz i really hope i can get my license so that i duneed go there again or pay somemore money cuz i've been spending alot liao on driving. also i met some nice instructors during my driving. stupid 1 as well -_- that purposely want me to fail or sth.. 2 of my regular instructors hong khin and julius are both v.nice ppl... even though julius keep saying i need more than 10 revisions T_T. and they always scold me as well.. still they are nice ppl. esp mr khin, he always gu li me and tell me jokes about his other students. but he

smt3-lucifer's call(nocturne maniacs) & atelier iris 2 azoth of destiny complete!

ok to start off with i completed AI2 afew days ago and then continued my smt3. i completed the jap ver of smt 3 long ago but lucifer's call also the same as nocturne maniacs has alot more extras compared to the original game - eg:there is an EXTRA dungeon, Labyrinth ofAmala where u can get Dante from dmc in the 5th Kalpa.

Dante is a very useful ally, the only prob with him is he can't be fused with demons making skills untransferable to him. furthermore u get him when he's lv 80 and he has alot of nice moves and useful skills that deal cool damage to all enemies. today i was able to defeat lucifer after my first failed attempt... basically it is IMPOSSIBLE to beat him without PIERCE. because lucifer takes very little damage to every single attack unless u got pierce that ignores the defense. even with solely the main char being able to use pierce you will take a super long time to kill him because of his 65k HP. and in order to get the skill pierce for your demons you must fuse Lv 95 METATRON which means ur main char has to lv 95 and above. and without a guide i dun tink anybody can get the true demon ending. 1. Metatron is not easy to fuse, you need to fuse every seraph - gabriel, samauel, uriel etc.. and sacrifice a tyrant, the only tyrant i have is loki (btw i have 70% demons only). 2. labyrinth of amala is a HELLUVA mazeee... without a guide its so hard to get through, seriously... anybody who plays this game will agree with me. just by refering to the map, sometimes u can just fall into holes and go somewhere else that u duno... sometimes i tok to some spirits and get warped out of the whole place... its truly lame if u ask me... and rather torturous and frustrating sometimes... only 1 save pt at the start of the dungeon, go in and u have to make it all the way out without game overing.

sometimes battles can be very hard if you dun focus, unexpected things can happen.. for example void death + void expel is a must for the main char, if he tio and die its a game over, and enemies can sometimes be so overpowered by casting all kinds of status up skills, anybody who plays the game will know exactly what i mean.
yes... CHEAP is the word to describe some of the bosses in the game also. haha! let me just say the concept in all smt series games are about the same, from persona to smt to ddsat. so it is a pretty challenging game!

as for atelier iris 2 its better than 1 in many ways but still no change of graphics. but still not sobad. however, the game is also too short and too easy to beat. there's hardly any challeng in the game..

genji:dawn of the samurai & tales of legendia+sidequest storyline completed

once more.. i'm out of games. sadly but now there's nth to play except for shin megami tensei nocturne maniacs which i completed in jap b4. i continued genji because i stopped playing it last time when i was chionging other games. genji even though very similiar to other samurai action rpgs like onimusha has its own system "Kamui". when kamui is activated the movement around slows down and the enemy will strike u. the main purpose of kamui is to wait for the chance to counter attack and press the "O" button at the right timing. this way its 1 hit instant kill and you can chain up to 20 enemies+ depending on how pro you are. of course high chain kamui kills will get you alot of xp. the game itself is v.short and there are 2 chars you can control... yoshitsune and benkei. the best choice is of course the main char yoshitsune because benkei is extremely slow and he cannot jump high. b4 i continued genji i had already completed the main storyline of tales of legendia. after i completed genji i went back to play tol, the character quests.

i have some disturbing remarks on tales of legendia as well as a few good comments of the game.

firstly... the game started off horridly. really very horrible, shirley gets captured by many ppl. first she gets captured by moses then vaclav and at the same time walter tries to catch her -.-. and senel all he keeps thinking about is shirley which is dumb because they always say the same stuff. eg: senel will worry about shirley and he selfishly wants to get her back above all things then the party will either scold him or tell him not to worry. i'm so fed up of the usual dialogue they love to repeat. its a waste of time hearing them talk because they like to repeat the same stuff. another example: when they fight the last boss of the game or the last boss in the char sidequest they show off their powers and 1 by 1 they all each got a sentence to say. then the boss will say stuff like you all dun stand a chance, u all cannot defeat me, this is the will of nerifes and all that crap then the each person will say 1 sentence like "we want to protect those we love", "we will defeat you" YOU KNOW?! THE SAME OLD STUFF I KEEP HEARING. even at the end of the stupid game... somebody leaves the grp, wun say who... but ewverybody says 1 sentence, i tink you can rougly guess wad they mostly likely wil say right. its all the expected stuff and its so long winded and stupid. and another of the most dumb thing is that the summons are released right when u finish the whole game and for wad? you can't even use it -.- so why do they even have summons lor.. haha but i must say the char sidequest storyline is FAR MORE BETTER THAN THE MAIN STORYLINE ITSELF!!!!!

shadow hearts 3 (from the new world) completed!

what can i say... this game is a must buy in the shadow hearts series. its not as good as shadow hearts 2 but it is definately a good game. yoshitaka hirota, the composer of the music in shadow hearts series did many remixes of icaro (the theme song of shadow hearts 2) in shadow hearts 3. i liked the music in the game and hence downloaded the ost. somehow the fusion in shadow hearts 3 seems to be a little different than that of yuri's as shania fuses with spirits and there's no gravyard and only 4 fusions.. the most being tirawa the sun god. but i tink guys would prefer shania fusion instead of yuri's because she will always take off her clothes. lolx. i also prefer dark seraphim to tirawa. after playing sh3 it is tempting me to replay 2.. haha.. i actually don't mind.. but i would prefer to play a new game...

talking about new game.. i forced myself to play tol and i realised its actually a so-so game but i still really hate the battle system. its a disgrace to the whole tales series.. the storyline seems long winded but at least i can see there are some parts the producers "try" to add in humour which is really not humorous at all but at least they try -_-.

shadow hearts 3 is more funnier with a very interesting cast. and also hilda is the vampire in sh3 and can take 3 forms , slim hilda, pink bat and curvy hilda (fat hilda) depending on the calories she suck from enemies. there's also mao a big cat which fights using drunken fists and films her own movie.. for her moves u must pay the actor the money in cat coins and fight a boss in the movie for each episode. and frank the old ninja, he's a very funny guy also. ok that's it! i really feel like replaying sh2 now!

s5 is such a great game in terms of storyline. s4 and stactics/rhapsodia is really incomparable to it... and they have really short gameplay. i played s5 for 40over hrs! but that's because i was collecting all the 108 stars of destiny. btw i used the char recruitment guide to collect them all because... many of the chars are missable and the timeline that they appear can be at only certain parts of the game.. so without a guide it would be impossible to get all the 108 chars the first play through. basically i was in a rush to complete a game and to get the good ending u must get all 108 chars.. anyway i missed out on part of the ending because the first part of the ending and credits were so damn long my family were rushing me to go out to eat and so i couldn't watch it. haiz... i wouldn't want to replay the last boss because it is a long way to the last boss (no save pt b4 last boss). u have to split into 3 grps and change parties...

nevertheless, i love s5 over every other suikoden game. the storyline is just so interesting and unexpected with so many twists and betrayal etc. and the battles rox.. especially the war battles which have really improved alot. you can command the naval and land troops to advance and attack the enemies each type of group strong and weak against certain types. as for the char designs, its the best! in suikoden history... i love the design and clothing for the main char, the queen's knights (miakis, kyle, galleon), seedles and the tactician... its the best suikoden art ever! and the castle is not too bad as well... they added a few stuff such as aquarium, fishing game, dragon riding..though the castle could be more improved... and now i'm playing shadow hearts 3.. when i complete i'll review it again. but so far the game has made me very addicted to it.

wild arms 4 completed

i took a really long time to finish this game because i was too busy playing tw. i'm extremely pissed off later i'll explain why.. i review wa4 first...

wa4 is not a great game but it IS an improvement of wa3 and wa2 definately. not to mention wa3 really sux and i had to force myself to complete it -> it was very torturous.. wild arms alter code is also very dissappointing -> + it was a remake of wa1 -_-. wa4 is still playable and still okay... however, near the end of the game, i kind of felt that it was getting somewhat similiar to ddsat2 where everybody sacrifices their life so that the main cast/main heroes can live to fight the last boss etc. -_-. and its totally lame.. why did they only have 4 chars in the whole game.. 5 actually + kresnik -> but u only get to use him a bit here and there near the last part of the game. sadness, because he's a really good char.

1) battle system : improved quite alot compared to previous wa series. the battlefield consists of many hexes and the chars can move from hex to hex. all chars are good: jude is fast+powerful, arnaud has high avoidance and he can use magic, yulie can use summoning mag, raquel is the most powerful though the slowest.
2) music : sux
3) storyline : quite interesting not too bad.
4) graphics : acceptable

i'm pissed off btw because of many ppl. i asked some of my frens to play jtw with me. i mean i dun mind donating money, leech them or help them understand the game. i could even explain the whole game to them. but unfortunately many of them are just unappreciative. i helped a few ppl set up nexon accs but in the end they nv play and nv used it. in order to set up nexon accs i had to look for real and valid japan addresses/telephone number/postal code but they dun know the trouble i go thru. and okay fine.. they could at least TRY the game like chris, david or his gf mann. not only that, even if they didn't want to play FINE. i actually dun mind them missing out on a great game. but the thing is they must give me some kind of sarcastic comments. i intro a gre8 game to them and they tok rubbish to me. argh. wtf? like wee ping. i intro tw to him he say the graphics sux and cmi and he dun play games with sucky graphics. at first i was like "its okay, nvm, fine" but then i was thinking b4 that he tell me he play bof3 and he even buy PSP. he is obviously giving me stupid excuses lor, he even used to play gb b4. then.. i introed to darry, which i thought would be more supportive because after all tw is created by the creators of magna carta. but he truly saddened and dissappointed me mann. he and his sarcacism. this time he tell me i'm mad. the last time i told him i was going to work nxt time to earn money to buy a house, he said it was funny. well, not everybody is as RICH as him lor. money not easy to earn, unlike him cut hair 1 time get so much money. there's a limit to the amt of sarcacism i can take. give me too much and i'll really flare up. just like last time when i broke off friendship a few times with SK, it was really all because i couldn't take her sarcacism. they dun know anyting because they hurt my feeling and not theirs. so that's why i'm extremely pissed off. i'm not going to intro anymore ppl to TW anymore or help anybody sign up for nexon accs. i try to be nice try to be good to ppl they just tok to u like that, waste my time and effort only.

meeting with poly frens

jy organised outing for 09 frens i tink. i'm not from 09 but i went because i long time nv see them and also i know deardear will want to go. b4 meeting them i went to dear's house to see his e-learning SSDC. i haven't updated my blog for long time because too busy playing tw... but i went for one practical driving lesson and i've yet to take my BTT nxt mon. hard to schedule for dates because of the stupid system that oni allow u to book once for each time slot then must book 1-2 mths in advance or very fast ppl will take up the slots..i must try to pass my BTT so i can continue my driving lessons in May.

anyway... we went kbox in cineleisure. i nv went kbox b4 lol. jy, mw, ky, lh also went. so 6 of us sang songs.. but mostly were chinese songs to select from.. and the system is really crappy =X. jap songs are grouped according to the number of words and some of the artists names are in chinese.. so.. ???. the jap mtvs aren't even original, they're all fake lol. i tried singing luna sea-tonight, speed-all my true love and ayumi-depend on you because i'm not familiar with chinese songs and the eng songs had no lyrics to sing with -_-. lidat like not karaoke liao leh.. lol it was fun hearing them sing also.. so ok lor. we inside for a few hrs then cyy came. cyy is vegeterian so for dinner we were looking for vegeterian buffet. we went to 1 restaurant but hor the price there v.exp, their buffet already over. in the end we went to some italian vegeterian restaurant that got pizza + spagetti. after that we went marina square and played car racing in the arcade and pool also. the pool very suay.. deardear and i were going to win 2 times but in the end we lost because we hit the black ball a different hole. its truly lame, but nvm. it's just a game.

grandiaIII(completed!)

yea! i completed grandia 3 and the last boss has over 90 k hp and seriously takes like 2 hrs to kill him considering my party's attacks are not very strong... the most powerful being my meteor spell which hit him for 3k++. not as bad as wild arms 3 last battle which is split into 11 parts that took me 5 hrs to win the battles -_-. anyway out of the 3 games, grandia 3, tales of legendia and wild arms 4 i knew grandia 3 was gonna to be the best and it was the best. mm.. what i like about grandia 3 is probably the storyline.. it has a touching but very piloty storyline. the whole game revolves around elfina, her brother emelieus and flying. the last boss however is not the hardest fight.. the hardest battle in the game is the boss at the entrace of melc ruins... which took may quite a few tries to beat it. i mean... that boss has 2 forms.. its land form and bird form.. in its land form it casts all sorts of fire spells that deal alot of damage and when it changed form it moves so fast u can nv catch up. getting rid of 1 orb took me a great deal of effort but it made things alot easier. anyway u wun understand anyting i'm talking about unless u play this game. hahaha.

trapt/kagero2(bad ending)

trapt is supposedly the sequel to kagero 2. i've played kagero 2 and i recognise the surrounding. i tink they use the same mansion at the start of the game. trapt is about a princess who was accused by her step-mother of murdering her own father the king. her step mother, queen catalina and her lover plot to take over the kingdom.the story does sound a bit like deception 3. in order to escape being pursued the princess hid inside a mansion where the fiend gave her powers to use traps to kill her pursuers and so as to sacrifice souls to him so that he can revive.

what i really like about trapt is that its very similiar to deception 3 which is 1 of the best games i've ever played. in deception 3 there were the toughest enemies known as the hell knights who would teleport into the middle of the room. they have high attack power and high speed and can perform rush attacks at you. in kagero 2 there is also an enemy that is equivalent to these dark knights. my first time playing the game i forgot to pick up warls that were dropped by enemies when they got hit. i also made it until chap14 where they sent many grps of enemies to attack me. first was the boss fight and the 2nd i couldn't make it because i didn't unlock alot of traps and it was 2 difficult to face two of those "hell" knights. other than avoiding traps they are fast. anyway i decided to replay the game a second time to unlock the dark illusions and just go ahead with the bad ending. i mean... the good ending i dun expect it to be any better than the bad ending. for the bad ending, allure must choose to leave the old castle at ch 10 or 11 of the game. and then the final boss will be Jais. Jais can avoid every trap except vase traps. so i had to keep trapping him in the vase trap and push him to other traps. still beatable because its still a 1 vs 1 battle.

yesterday i finished my yr 3 exams... so my poly yrs are already over. i've applied for ntu with my first 2 yrs exam results. i don't know if i can get in. and if i did get in i don't know if i can handle the stress. i now have 3 games to play... tales of legendia, grandia 3 and wild arms 4 which i have ALL tried. tales of legendia to my dissappointment the battle system looks weird. ok i would say mostly the char design in the battle system looks really weird. i would prefer the normal tales 2D fighting to this ><>

tales of rebirth, being 1 of the untranslated jap version of the tales series is very similiar to tod2(ps2) in terms of the battle system. the few difference are-> 1) You cannot heal hp, there are no healers, hp can only be healed during battle thru armour/weapon recovery and pots, or after battle thru cooking food. 2) in the battle field u can move 3 lanes (rows). 3) you don't need TP to use skills, in otherwards, skills can be used anytime, a magic caster can also keep casting magic the whole battle. i got stuck in this game quite many times so i had to use the faq. but my jap improved alot by reading alot of japanese in this game. also the difficulty lv of this game is much more easier compared to tod2(ps2). my chars were lv 60 when i completed the game. at first i was using yuujin for the final boss. i lost a few times because i tink yuujin kept dying as he was weak against holy. after that i changed to hilda and the boss was so easy to beat. nxt game i'll play is trapt also known as kagero 2 and i tink its the remake of kagero2 deception 2 which was on the ps1. i played kagero 2 or psx b4 and it had very lousy graphics and an unclear storyline so i guess they decided to remake it. well, the game rocks as u can set traps and torture ppl =X.

suikoden tactics/rhasodia (completed!)

suikoden tactics is a great tactical rpg game similiar to other tactical rpgs but inclusive of suikoden style stuff such as team attacks and the very important rune system. Every char has a type of rune that has a weakness and is strong against their own type. I took less than 20hrs to complete this game, i knew it was gonna be this short when i first started playing because from suikoden 1-4. the games are getting shorter and shorter.. s4 was also very short btw. and suikoden tactics is a continuation of the events that happened in s4. hence with the load file of s4 the main char and snowe from s4 are recruitable. the main char from s4 is extremely useful with his instant death spell and area spells. plus he can do team attacks with kyril and kika. not to mention the lovely, mighty kika automatically joins you around the beginning of the game! i absolutely love kika... she is my most fav suikoden char, 2nd being sasarai which made his appearance in s2 and s3. but the best suikoden game in my opinion is s3. it has the best storyline, best music, great graphics cuz its on ps2, a great castle which u can even control those cute little dogs to tour around the castle take part in all those mini games and castle events. s3 battle system rox.. suikoden tactics lacks in many ways but the gameplay is still good but seriously incomparable to s3 ^^.

this korean game like TW is developed by softmax. it was originally a pc game that evolved into a ps2 game. what i like about magna carta are the styles, graphics/animation and storyline. the only problem in this game is the long waiting time in battle system or loading from 1 map to another. only recently nearing the end of the game did i realise there are 3 kinds of battle modes: std, cntr and combo. i've been using std all this time.. however for the last boss its a must to use counter mode to inflict more damage. ctr mode can be quite tough for normal battles if u're not using callintz (because u would need to guess the enemy's chi unless u have callintz) also it took me a very long time to figure out that for ctr mode the trinity ring must spin 1 round before i can enter the keys. lol. u wouldn't like to miss turns in this game or break the chain.. if u know that only 1 person can move at a time and u need low charisma for shorter wait time. somehow i felt that the char designs for the main char and general agreian were very visualkeid o.o. agreian is not a playable char unfortunately but orha is. and orha is the 2nd best char in this game, no.1 being callintz because his true fuget style rox - and so does all his combo attacks. and the storyline is very typical korean movie styled - when all the truth is revealed somewhere near the end of the story. nxt up... i will be playing suikoden tactics.

finally i have time to update the blog. now the diary link is up (puni's diary) in jap because blogpet only understands more of jap. trapt is out! i saw it in the game shop yesterday at bedok. that game rox because u can set traps and kill people (actually under the deception/kagero series by tecmo). btw about my term test, the networking paper was hard to me.. yesterday after network security term test, we all went to 85 market as sy was waiting for eden there. her relative or duno who has a fried carrot cake stall there so we shared 1 plate i tink it was $8 but they dun wan accept the money we want to pay. and also.. fabian came with us and we sit there for awhile.. then went to bedok interchange the hangten there to buy clothes using a discount card. after that.. we went to the hawker centre there to eat.. it was very crowded.

and the xmas event in TW is finishing soon.. so far dear and me have only collected 3 reindeer skins which are all sold already. i met a japanese who bargained with me to buy it for 8 mill because the avoidance was only 6. but i felt it was too cheap because the weapon def was pretty high. nevertheless, i sold it to him at 8.5 mill so that i could ask him some questions regarding monster pet eggs. he didn't understand english so i had to translate everything to jap so he could answer.

finally! took so long with this game because i was busy with sch and tw. aiya anyway i have a very bad sore throat after eating toasted fish. my stupid bro lor, everytime eat so much food that i have so little left to eat then need to eat other tings. haiz... stupid, selfish, irritating bro.

shining force NEO. the vocal song is nowhere to be heard the american ver of the game. they most probably took it out. the game engine got lag problem, like shining tears. when monster spawn like siao hor, the screen lag like siao also. still playable... alot of talking... a bit boring but got some funny parts lor.

monsters and bosses get extremely hard later in the game. ur esp weak against magic attacks -> game over often...aiya... force energy is so important. but even with mastered stats sometimes bosses also kill u in 1 hit. it all depends.. but bows are a wiser choice in the later parts of the game and when conquering legion hives. after conquering legion hives got 1 big legion boss with alot alot of HP. but his attacks easy to dodge. also, using ur chars as meatshield sometimes help, most of the time they just die 1 lah. anyway its a pretty nice game but got too many drops. have to keep identifying and selling.. inventory so fast full... -.-. i not going to continue romancing saga.. i dun like the proficiency system and the free roaming system. its really not much of a storyline and that's why it will be boring.

sch's reopened. everybody's busy. i''m busy chionging games. i'm taking networking this sem and i dun like it.. theory wise i have trouble understanding the calculations, practical wise i'm no good at all. haiz... i din know choosing this elective was going to be like this. anyway i'm playing shining force neo but actually more of tw. yesterday after sch sy, lh, vincent and me decided to go yue's place to disiao her? it was such a cockroachy day. i saw so many cockroaches at bedok reservoir there. i nv knew that cockroaches came out in the day, lol. i tot they only came out at night so... i guess night time there's more.. and sy kept toking about cockroaches non stop the whole day. even when we were eating at pasta mania. it didn't bother me but i tink the ppl beside us were bothered. they seemed gloomy. hehe.

i really want to review on this game. its a really amazing game, one of the best rpgs i've ever played so far. nobody will fully understand the storyline until they've played both ddsat1 and 2. the game seems so simple and straightfoward yet so deep in storyline.

the smt team comprises of kazuma kaneko who designs the demons and chars. his art is superb. nobody can design demons as good as him and the chars he designs looks demonic but its dds after all. shoji meguro who composes the music, mainly techno/dance and e.guitar, the music of ddsat rox esp the battle music and last boss. DDSAT is MY kind of game! however some ppl may not like the game because i would say its a rather demonic game. its not scary but there are bloody scenes. demons devouring each other and killing.

also, the bosses in ddsat2 (the tough ones) mainly follow an attack pattern. its the same for the bosses in ddsat1 but ddsat1 is not that difficult. i had alot of trouble with a couple of the last few bosses in the game. i did some serious training in the last dungeon and got my party up to lv 60. well only my main char was at lv 69 and the rest were around 61-64. anyway i believe nobody could have defeated the last boss or 2nd last boss at lower levels. the lv is not the main issue i believe the skills are even more important. because i was so unprepared for the whole lot of boss fights at the last dungeon i didn't even have void death at 1 point which caused me some trouble continuing the game. like for the last boss i used a party of seraph, cielo and argilla.

Equipment and skills preparation :

Seraph (SP power ring i upped his STR until max : 99)
phy resist, Life bonuses 10%, 20% and 30% ? (all the life bonuses until his hp was like 800 ++) as argilla and cielo have not very high vitality it would be best if seraph can survive.
Execution, * ice drain, phy drain/void phy

Cielo
*null death, *null panic, *null charm (because no null ailments, lazy train)
*mediarahan, *elec drain, and the 1 that increases phy att was it tarunda?

Argilla (SP vitality ring, she has awfully low hp)
*spell gloom, *dekunda (actually debiliate would be better but lazy train somemore), *mediarahan, *earth drain, *force drain

so the last boss has 5 stages. Brahman fire, force, earth, elec, ice.
Phase 1 : he casts fire spells. this is easy u dun even need fire drain. increase phy att, use spell gloom on him. every turn i used executioner if critical 600-800 damage.
Phase 2 : cast force drain every turn. and the rest same as phase 1.
Phase 3 : cast earth drain every turn. " "
Phase 4 : case elec drain every turn. he'll use a spell that lowers all ur stat and increases all his stats. immediately use dekunda. execute him somemore..
Phase 5 : cast ice drain every turn. "" I didn't have ice drain for this phase and barely survived his atts. i used combo spell "Call Angel" that heals all and increases def. cast spells that make him weaker make u stronger and dekunda when he lowers ur stats. so basically i've only used Seraph to attack and the rest to heal and cast support magic.

1 extra feature of ddsat2 is that other that transforming to demon/human form there is a semi demon form where the chars get out of control. their phy att is very high but def very low and atma/exp gained is higher. also there's a new char Roland whose atma is some lightning atma. he replaces heat for the final dungeon if u didn't ans the questions correctly.

**spoilers ahead

apparently the junkyard in ddsat1 is a world created by sera.. and the embryon tribes and wadever tribes inside the junkyard are just battle AIs used as an experiment by colonel beck. as their performance in the junkyard will be implanted into real soldiers to be used for battle. before this... the real serph, argilla and heat joined the HAARP project. this project is to find or create a person who could "reprogram reality". anyway sera was 1 of the specimens to be experimented on. in real life, serph was a very bad person. but sera loved him. heat on the hand even though is full of anger didn't like the way serph treated sera (as in sacrificing her to achieve his goals). sera was depressed or sth and created a world (the junkyard) in her mind with serph as a very nice guy who loved her and also with the rest of them. anyway heat didn't like the way serph treated sera and tried to kill him. argilla shot heat and heat died. apparently, serph is some kind of woman charmer that managed to make sera fall for him and argilla follow his orders -.-. and gale's data consists of david who died in an explosion. this david is jenna angel's lover and they were trying to find the cure for some disease to do with the black sun. the black sun (in the real world) was caused by sera going mad after hearing wad serph said about achieving his goals and if she died they will just move on to another subject or sth like that. so after that jenna angel was filled with hatred because her bf died and created the demon virus that she sent to be tested in the junkyard. the thing is this demon virus will make a person turn into a demon will make him immune to the disease which turns ppl into stone but they will get hungry and will need to devour each other. later jenna also infected the ppl in the real world with this virus. later sera knowing that jenna was going to release the virus into the junkyard went inside herself to save her friends.

currently im also rushing to complete ddsat2 because sch is restarting in like 1 weeks time. SIGH. but the story is sad.. i'm left with oni 3 chars : sera, gale and cielo. 1 good thing about ddsat2 is that there are no lousy characters. all the characters have their weaknesses and strengths depending on their alma. and that is why all of them are powerful.

my pet just hatched from the egg around yesterday in talesweaver (jtw) after leaving it overnight for 3 days. i had to wake up every 6 hrs to feed it. btw my pet is a dragon.

firstly hatching the egg bought from the merchant store in clad requires 50-55 hrs. the egg is put into the incubator and the incubator is on. that's when the timer starts counting down.

btw this time the owner will go and hunt food for the pet. there are 2 bars in the incubator. the left (green bar) marks the hygiene and right (red bar) marks the pets hunger. if both bars go too low the pet will die. moving the mouse nxt to it as show in the picture will list down the foods the pet can eat for that certain bar. feeding the correct food for each bar increases it by about 2-3%. you should not overfeed the pet.

yet another game completed. >.< i'm running out of games again and there haven't been that many new releases. most are available around the end of the mth. like magna carta, rhapsodia..
phantom brave is another nippon ichi game that i've played and it has a great storyline. frankly i prefer phantom much more than la pucelle. however i find the confining phantom system a bit troublesome as phantoms that are summoned in to battle to aid Marona have only a few turns before they disappear and can never be summoned for that battle again. the enemies and bosses also get pretty overlevelled during some points of the game. they suddenly jump like 30 levels above the previous dungeons or chapters. training can also be a pain unless u can create very high leveled random dungeons and give them the failure title and let ur characters gain the bonus xp. but it's not that easy anyway. i just decided to play phantom brave once thru because there's not much point getting all the secrets anyway. too get all the secrets ur characters have to crazily overpowered and overlevelled and the secret character join u at lv 1. it's not like makai kingdom where a lv 1 seedle can jump up to lv 400 in the food dungeons u know..

2. should preferably be in japanese because blogpet will read your blog's RSS feeds and pick out mostly the japanese words. blogpet will also pick out some english words but the process is slow.

slowly tuning back into jrock i'm getting a little bit more updated. it's been so long since i listened to a new jrock song! firstly D has a new look, has produced some new albums and singles. and i tink it seems that ruiza likes dogs. his diary has a few pictures of dogs o.O. it'll be hard to find D songs and other jrock songs now that i don't use soulseek to find my songs. it'll be even harder to get original copies. i don't mind paying for a decent jrock cd but singapore doesn't import much indies albums anymore. last time i bought la'mule climax from hmv at $70sgd. that time tower records had been importing indies cds on special orders. but now they don't. so the only way is to order from online stores such as third stage but i will need to go through money order.. i still have my third stage card but i haven't used it for a long time... i wonder if its still valid. also nightmare and gazette produced many new songs. i liked nightmare's raven loud speakers...

having completed growlanser 3 i learnt that growlanser 4 is already out but in jap =/. and it was out since 2003, it's already 2 yrs from now so i really doubt there will be a english release. no point playing the jap release because if i can't understand jap i won't know the mission requirements to complete the missions. unless there's a faq or translation guide project on the game, which i haven't found. also it's an old game so i don't tink game shops have it anymore. it's also a 2D game not very popular on ps2. and if not for atlus, many japanese games would not have a us release at all. it's sad that i wun be able to play growlanser 4 =(.

now i'm playing growlanser generations. that day i went to roger's house and collected some games ^^. including z.o.e 2nd runner, phantom brave, summon night. i've tried all.. and i find zoe and growlanser the most addictive o.o. i'm not good in action games and actually i prefer strategy based. growlanser is more of a strategy based game but it's very difficult. after completing part 2 i went on to play part 3 but wad i really hate is the character design.. this is an example >.<. the char art is all in here... http://www.atlus.co.jp/cs/game/pstation2/gl4/

radiata stories doesn't have a faq so far or guide book i tink. so i dun know about the sidequests available except through forums. i tink i have already finished the optional dungeon because i have already defeated ethereal queen with my party that consists of jack lv 80, valkyrie lv 82, elwen lv 75 and gerald lv 76. she's definately more easier than the star ocean 3 ver. i just kept on doing volty blasts, most of the time elwen's radiant sword that deals 2k-3k damage on her each time depending on ur luck. also keep jack away from her because once he gets paralysed or stoned it's pretty hard to break out of it and jack may die which will give a game over. but keep using healing items and all those dumplings so that elwen could keep executing radiant sword. lol. the reward for defeating the ethereal queen is the tri-emblem skill that increases all parameters.

also i completed Ys The ark of napishtim yesterday. it's a short game but highly recommended action rpg. training is actually quite easy but the boss fights can be quite tricky. these are some rpgs i hope i can get soon enough.

i just completed radiata stories today. the human path... and the ending sux. this game has 1 of the worst endings i've ever seen. i haven't tried the elf path yet. but the ending is supposedly even worse -.-. anyway i tried to get Elwen but lazy to train so i just sticked with caesar, gerald and nocturne in my best team. sianz... waiting for ddsat2 to come out. the deluxe package is already ready for pre ordering on the official website. i'm unable to finish downloading phantom brave because all the seeders have ran away -.-. so.. i'm now playing persona 2 innocent sin which is in japanese version. of course i have to play the game with the translated script or i won't understand. but for the battle and rumors system i roughly know how to get pass them because i've played persona 2 ep and it's the same.

la pucelle tactics

i duno when i actually started la pucelle tactics... but the last time i gave up on the game becase the battle system was boring. training was boring. i played until around chapter 5 and after that erased my save file to play other games. but recently i was a bit inspired to replay la pucelle becase of makai kingdom and also because i heard the storyline was good. but somethings i really hate about la pucelle is the battle system. not because it's strategy : i mean i like strategy games. but i dun like the "animation" parts of the battle system because sometimes i have to wait very long for every body to attack each other -.-. so for this playthrough, i made sure i got all the good/special endings in the game (except for 1 of the battles which u need to beat a lv 100 monster to get a special ending). frankly, i dun really like the char art for la pucelle either other than the art of croix which is quite cool. still the ending is worth to watch..

makai kingdom

so... this is my 5th run through makai kingdom. with all of my special chars at lv 500-1000 and the only event battle left is yoshitsuna with prinny baal... last few weeks i had been busy with my sip so didn't have time to update my blog. anyway, makai (魔界) kingdom also known as phantom kingdom for the jap ver is one of the best nippon ichi games i have played. not to mention disgaea was also good but it's not as good as makai kingdom.

The mighty overlord in the whole universe. Laharl, etna and flonne join as 1 group after u defeat them. laharl has a very high move rate and is also a good attacker. so he's a pretty useful ally.

Seedle
underlord seedle is probably the best attacker in the game. he's easy to lv up and a katana greatly boosts his att.

i dun think there's a picture of young babylon but anyway dragon overlord babylon is 1 of the best chars in the game. with high att, def and res.

a pretty useless char i would say except for his high move rate. i use him as a thrower. and he looks funny with a balloon or hammer. one good thing about him is his high def.

yesterday we went to the company to present our project. the company didn't even know we came to present our project because i dunno wad the supervisor told them. anyway we asked james for his comments on our project and it seems we have to make lots of improvements because i doubt our supervisor would be satisfied with our job done. she doesn't know how much problems we encountered and how tough it is to code in symbian when we just learn it for less than 3 mths. she'll nv understand anyway.

Currently playing makai kingdom and smt nocturne lucifer's call... makai kingdom is funny.. smt : nlc added in extra storyline in btw some parts of the game. and dante as a game character.

after downloading the fatal frame 3 theme song (koe) sang by Tsukiko Amano i went to look for the pv also.. here songs are more to the rock side so that's why i like it.. anyway i recently traded in my 8310 for a motorola e398. i find the java game quality better on nokia phones maybe because of the screen size and the mp3 sounds good on the phone too. actually had some problems with the battery and went to repair it =/ other than that i'm pretty satisfied with the performance of the phone.

completed shining tears & finished until lv 100 of the catacombs in stella deus. got a useless certificate completion for that -.-. the last floor wasn't too hard i merely used normal attacks by moving to the enemies.

shining tears is quite a nice action rpg. it's much more fun playing with a partner. i prefer to control a suport character as i wouldn't have to attack simultaneously. so tiring for my thumb -.-. that's why i asked dear to help me train my chars a bit. but i finally gave up training them and train only xion, cupido, keiner, volg and mao. simply cuz lazarus lv is too low and ryuna is pretty useless as a priestess.. neige also sux because her attacks deal lousy damage and have horrible range only her link skills are good. elwyn dies easily and is weak.. i prefer cupido to her as his magic att is high and spark deals pretty good damage to surrounding enemies. his phy skills are good too as they have long range and can paralyse enemies. He's a cool character.. anyway the last boss is like free frag.

stressing myself over symbian codes =.= oh dear... really don't noe how to use lex to get my coordinate lon and lat results. ><

i've watched a few episodes of xenosaga the animation. found out that the storyline is alot like xenosaga episode I. they narrated the exact storyline of the gnosis attack and the other events that happened but changed a bit of the parts. like... realians saving shion's life twice by sacrificing themselves. and the part where ziggy and kos-mos fought there's more to come. the bunny handphone accessory on shion's bunny handphone is so kawaii~! ^^. btw i'm watching the animation subtitled in chinese by KUKU.

what have i been doing for the last few days? still doing my bloody project. heard pr 2 is coming up and we need to present in front of judges. i hate presentations... can't they just make do with the damn project and stop torturing us! -.- but work life is lidat hor.. sadness.

currently playing shining tears.. my disc may spoil any time, i keep hearing it screech in my ps2.. or.. is my ps2 spoiling? hope not =x i already completed xenosagaII eng last week. i was doing the optional dungeons in the epilogue and currently at heavenly ruins which is the 3rd optional dungeon, and the bosses sure are tough =/. as for stella deus, i've fused some of the ultimate rank16 equipment. and all chars rank16 weapons. there's nth else left except unlock all the catacomb lvs. i don't know how many there are but i'm currently at lv 80+. heeh.

i tried using the data cable on my com and it works with my mum's hp. too bad her hp doesn't have bluetooth or IFR. or i can send to the company's symbian 60 phone i'm currently using. i downloaded many hp games like happy tree friends spinoffs(lol, this game is funny, u spin 1 them and hope they don't hit the obstacles when they're thrown or there will be alot of blood o.O), finding nemo, neopets, puzzlebobble! - i'm sure my mum will like this ^-^ cuz she always plays nature park.

i downloaded xenosaga animation ost composed by kosuke yamashita (nv heard of him =/). i think the only vocals in this ost is "in this serenity" which is sang by mayumi gojo. of course some of the tracks have close resemblence as those in xenosaga game osts. i'm also trying to download the anime, but it will take a super long time.

haha... this wallpaper is from the us stella deus site. i changed the icons of the wallpaper. did this in sch today. still playing stella deus continuing from before the last dungeon of the game. learning to fuse high ranking stuffs. i even had to draw out a whole map to fuse 1 item because the process requires many many fusions. it takes very long and alot of money is required so i used the bug in the game. for the travelling merchant 5 quest, pay him 60k and u get 99 mils of money. wahhaha! still playing the catacombs now at lv 52.

for SIP today my grp looked for symbols for our user layers in the map. we don't have the expo map yet though. talking about projects, i don't understand how ppl who contribute nothing to the project can blame others for their own failure and tell lies to others without even blinking their eyes.

stella deus : the gate of eternity

firstly, thx to deardear who bought me a CTV last weekend. i was overjoyed, budden unfortunately.. the TV was faulty and we requested a new order to be made. We would have to wait maybe 3 days for the new TV to be ready. the CTV was definately faulty cuz the screen kept shaking and expanding and contracting :/. i was still able to complete stella deus during the weekend. the storyline is quite lame lor... in the beginning Lumena said that ppl should obey God's will for a peaceful end. then in the end when Avis's prayers were answered, she says that they should not wait for a peaceful end and instead fight for their peace. for the credits they played HolySpirit eng ver. which is not available in the OST. it's much nicer than the jap ver of the song in fact.

i think alot of ppl would prefer fft to stella deus. but stella deus is also a game with its own originality. for example stella deus has team combo atts and the battle system being somehow similiar to fft is fun and tactical. of course if u don't like challenges and u want to get Viser in the game, u should be far more higher lved than all the bosses in the game. In order to get Viser, u need to overkill all the bosses in the game to be safe because u need to fulfill 5 out of 9 overkill options but some options seem not to be overkill options, if u noe wad i mean.. anyway it was worth it for me to replay the game because i got all the 4 secret chars - Jade, Tia, Echidna, Viser. Jade is good because u can give him low movement cost and his evade is the highest among all chars. i like Tia too, she's 1 of the strongest chars and i like her combo att with Gallen! Echidna is so-so and Viser is probably better off as a healer than attacker :/. u can also make ur own equipment by fusing items together and using diff item combinations. there are also quests to earn more money and in chap5 there are char quests to get their ultimate weapons.

now that i've completed stella deus, maybe i will continue with my xenosaga2..

tired, worried and sick

these few days i've been feeling so tired that sometimes when i fall on my bed i immediately knock out. and even when i wake up, i feel so tired and dizzy. my pulse rate is pretty high these few days... don't know why but my doctor is cutting down on my med. now i only have to take 1.5 tablets every day. i can't help but feel worried for my little deardear. i get easily stressed out these few days again.. i wonder if my tyroid is acting up again. everybody also have health problems. my whole family has health problems. the most important thing is still health, and that's 1 thing that u really cannot save money on.

Okay... there has been no progress for our SIP for a few weeks ler -.-. so wad do we do during our free time? playing hexic -.-. for this week, i slept late every night to play stella deus. initially i played until chapter 3, but i found out that i was going to miss getting 2 characters in the game so i replayed. in order to get those characters and to be safe, there's a need to overkill every boss in the game. which is more difficult, because ur party members have to be much higher lved than the boss. u must also set up a team attack and overkill the bosses b4 their hp becomes critical or they will retreat and u will fail. so i would have to train alot.

mm.. shoji meguro is a pretty talented game music composer. i think most smt series osts were composed by him. in his more recent osts such as avatar tuner and smtIII, he uses alot of electric guitar sounds. and i like his songs very much! especially the fast tracks. the ddsat soundtrack is great! and so is ddsat2 even though it's not yet out in eng ver. yesterday i got a pretty good deal at the game shop. hahahaha. i bought 3 games, the guy said he will gif me any game free. so i bought stella deus, shining tears, soul calibur 2 & i took xenosagaII eng which is a two disc game :P for $20. same as buying thru my kor leh.

atelier iris eternal mana

atelier iris is an extremely short game. completed it in 20 hrs. the storyline is very happening and there are many sidequests to be done. however, i didn't do most of the sidequests because i rushed thru the game. the graphics sux for a ps2 game but the music makes up for the lousy graphics. because i quite liked the music, i downloaded the ost. n i also downloaded the ddsat2 tracks that were ripped from the game dvd. the music rox esp the battle theme.
the atelier iris alchemy system is not bad... the main char Klein is the only 1 who can use alchemy and extract alchemy. there is a need to extract to create items used in battles. along the game, various manas will join u. mana can be equiped to chars to increase their stats and to aid u in dungeons. a fun and well recommended game despite its short gameplay.

ok, i completed avatar tuner over the weekend. a game that can be completed in less than a week took me over 2-3 weeks to complete -.-. cuz i have hardly anytime to play.. thanks to roger for giving me the game ^^.

so this game has a very interesting plot. far more interesting than smt3 i think. and the best thing is i am able to understand the storyline because it is in english ^^.

the embryon which consists of serph and his comrades is one of the tribes in the Junkyard. And all tribes fight each other to rule the Junkyard. tribes : The brutes, The embryon, Meribel, The Solids and The Wolves. one day, a mysterious light pierces through the bodies of everyone in the junkyard and everybody changes into demons. Sera, a black haired girl is bestowed upon The Embryon. The temple says that only the tribe with the black haired girl will make it to Nirvana, the place where all their answers shall be answered. The temple also says there must be battle among the tribes and they are to devour their enemies with the special power that has been given to them. All the tribes therefore try to find Sera who is the key to Nirvana, and only she can sing the song that stops the demons from eating their own comrades.

anyway yesterday i had a tough time fighting the last boss of the game. she has 2 parts. the first part is just a warm up, very easy to beat. but the 2nd part is pretty difficult. there is a need for strategy. my main team consists of Serph, Argilla and Heat. because the 2nd form of the boss has all the elemental orbs floating around him including 1 that is physical. the core reflects every attack so long as the shields are up. and absorbing n reflecting makes my party lose turns so there's a need to be careful. at the start the boss can move 8-9 times? i had my serph cast drain ice so that the boss will lose turns when the ice orb acts reducing my damage. then argilla cast teridyne. i skip heats turn and use Bloodbane, but serph will probably die due to reflection from the phy orb and the core. after that just heal up and it will be easy. 1 more magic att is needed to rid the phy orb that is so irritating, after that i used bloodbane again and most of the orbs go down. every turn the boss creates a new orb, just keep killing them. i used bloodbane and revelations that are phy attacks that deal good damage. the ending of the game is really nth much... anyway avatar tuner 2 will be out in US around november.

a close shave

today was really a close shave.. i almost got caught by that bloody _ _ _ _ _, carona. seeing her in the morning when i clock in and after sch when i clock out really spoils my whole mood. me n sy came back from our self declared 4 hrs break when she suddenly appear behind my com and ask me why i was on msn. that time kor was giving me his new blog link, naturally i quickly close the window so she cannot see what was being typed. anyway she wanted me to explain myself. actually i really duno wad's the farking problem with using MSN, everybody uses it during SIP and it's not like we're playing games and not doing our project so why do they even care!? anyway i was dumbfounded, luckily sy was smart enuff to tell her that our grp member nv come today and i was communicating with him via msn. and luckily she let me off, or i will be in deep sh+t. she caught 1 of the girls duno for wad offense, i tink because she wore skirt or wad. anyway it's NOT LIKE they are wearing revealing skirts or anyting, why can't we even wear skirts? they tink ppl whole wardrobe is jeans arh? wtf wtf wtf! today we also saw chan jon buying chicken rice from carona. can't stand him, dammit~

Haiz, i wish i could help to ease his pain budden... i gave him panadol and apply oil for him but still no use. i told him not to send me home, but he insisted because he is so concerned about my safety =.=. infact i also got a headache since this morning but it isn't as bad as his. my poor little shen shen... >.<>
